Nice Place
This hotel was nice but the bed were hard and kind of uncomfortable. I love hotels that give you the small little kitchenette especially when on vacation. After a week eatting out to cook yourself a little meal its really refreshing and nice. My wife and i stay on the 3rd floor and it was nice but the veiw wasnt. There was a car dealership smack dab in our veiw. Which FYI there are some car dealers on the lot on at night locking up car and what not so make sure you close the blinds because you never know who likes looking in on you!!

Lower quality than other places but still a great chain of hotels
It might just be me or it is actually true but this extended stay looked like it was set up by a person who wanted the bare minimum to stand in line for the extended stay hotel chain. We got to the lobby to check-in very late. They close their desk around 11 and I had to get beeped in to get inside to get my keys. Overall staff was friendly but seems that the owner or management is not keeping them happy. The carpet in the elevator looked like it got vacuumed with a hoover because it was very dirty. When you came downstairs through the stairs, the floorboards squeeked (not like a little noise but a whole floorboard falling through the cracks). They don't have a store or a cafe at all. It wasn't welcoming at all. But, the room itself was great. If there was any problems, we got maintenance help right away. I would stay again at this price but realize its this cheap for a reason.

NOT HAPPY
I was very disappointed in my experience. Made the reservation a month prior, for a business stay at Extended Stay America, my meetings were close to the hotel. When I went to check in, I was told the hotel over-booked, so the hotel had placed me at another property, 8 miles away in traffic. But for my inconvenience gave me a certificate for a free room in the future. Apparently when you have a reservation 1 month before your reservation has no priority. Drove 15 minutes to next hotel - Hometown Suites. When I arrived the clerk told me I needed the certificate to check in - this would be my FREE night. (really? - surely not) The hotel lobby was filthy, reeked of odd odors. A gentleman in the lobby told me - good luck with a non-smoking room, his room stunk so bad with the door open, he couldn't be in his room, that's why he was in the lobby. Then the desk clerk came back and handed the man clean sheets and a blanket for his room so he could make-up his own bed... (really?) Needless to say I did NOT check in, I have called the 1st hotel, twice now to get this issue resolved, only the manager hasn't called me back. Worst experience ever....

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Actually for the budget traveler, this was acceptable. No swimming, as the photos had shown, this was an old building, a bit "seedy around the edges". About a 10 min freeway drive to the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon.... a great skiing area!

ESA in Sandy
They comped me for the wireless access ... didn't expect a kitchenette in the room, since I haven't stayed at an ESA before. Was pretty convenient since I was traveling with pizza in my cooler. There wasn't any security in the parking lot, and they couldn't tell me whether there were cameras ... had a full moving truck out there and couldn't see it from the room (parking was very full) so this worried me a bit. The coffee in the lobby was the best I've had at a hotel...No ice machine, though.

Coffee at the front desk was actually really good, though I brought my own half-and-half since they only have artificial creamers.

Staff were great, but.......
It could have been cleaner. There was sticky stuff on my carpet. The hall carpet needed a good vacume and scrub. Also so much smoke from the other occupants filtered into my room. Other than that it was okay.

Looking for a Cheap Getaway
Great Value
It has the feel of an older hotel, only it's been modernized. The rooms were very nice-looking on the interior. Good value to have a kitchen with your hotel room...that you don't find anywhere else for the low price you pay. Only thing is the room we stayed in was kind of dirty...the sheets had hair in them and the comforter had something questionable on it. Other than that...it was just fine.

Short drive from hotel
Short drive to Megaplex 17...a really cool movie theatre. Tons of dining options all around...ANYTHING you feel like is there. Shopping is close by...tons of malls and strip malls.

Decent getaway
Good customer service, when I found the deal online they said they couldn't give it to me for that price, it was $10 more per night than advertised, that was unexpected but i didn't want to argue with the lady.
