BEST WESTERN PLUS CottonTree Inn

We had an excellent stay at this Best Western. Although we had booked for 5 nights, the staff was willing to adjust our stay to 4 nights since the day of the funeral for our family member was moved up to Saturday instead of Monday. The room was clean and the staff kept it clean our entire stay. It was quiet and the breakfast was great. We would stay here again.

My flight was delayed the day I was to check in. They kept delaying it by the hour until the middle of the night. With my attempts to re-book and somehow get to Salt Lake City, I forgot to call the hotel and cancel that night. When I finally made it there the next day, the Best Western desk attendant said my **bitz reservation had been cancelled by the hotel as a no-show (but paid in full by me). I could stay that night as long as I paid for it (again), which I did. When I called **bitz, they helpfully asked the hotel manager to refund at least the night I stayed, seeing as I had paid for it twice. The manager refused, hiding behind "hotel policy." This hotel gets a lot of business from a large nearby company . I'm going to recommend that the company never use this hotel again.

It was a very nice hotel and great breakfast. Wish it had a mini fridge.

We had an executive (mini) suite for a 6 nights, during a longer ski trip in the SLC area. The hotel is close to junction 293 of the I15 so easy to get to 9000 towards the Cottonwood canyon resorts (35-45 min) or further afield to Sundance or Snowbasin (45-60min). The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and we appreciated the late checkout on our last day, allowing us a morning at Snowbird before heading to the airport. The free breakfast is well-stocked and has good choice - it's not haute cuisine but more than adequate to get you started. There are lots of eateries nearby within a 5 minute walk including a good steak/seafood place. The suite is comfortable but an odd layout with the sofa facing away from the TV. The microfridge is useful but noisy at night - best switched off. The bathroom is spacious, and clean with plentiful hot water and great shower pressure. The mattress is very comfortable and firm - although the pillows could do with firming up. We'd stay again if in the area.

Clean, quiet and easy access. Breakfast was great and something different every morning. There was remodeling going on but never noticed it at all. Would definetely stay again!

We throroughly enjoyed our 4-day stay at this hotel. From the start it was a great experience. They let us check in a little early which was nice since we hot and tired from traveling. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help make our stay the best it could be. The hot breakfast was good and they rotated the items around daily so you didn't have the same thing all the time. The rooms were very quiet and the air conditioning worked very well. The location of the hotel was great for us, because it was in a nice neighborhood and close to the main roads, making it easy to get anywhere. Lots of great dining close by. We will stay here again anytime we are visiting Salt Lake or just passing through.

This was the second time we have stayed at the CottonTree for our ski vacation to Alta Ski Resort. We knew we would be happy with everything and weren't disappointed. Staff was courteous and helpful, room was large, bed was comfy and the thermostat worked great! We were always cozy despite the freezing cold temps and snow outside. Breakfast bar was totally adequate for us and if anything was low the staff was quick to replenish the supply. It's in a great location and close to at least three excellent restaurants---Texas Roadhouse Steakhouse, McGrath's Fish Grill and Olive Garden, plus the mall is right across the street. There's also a Wendy's across the parking lot for a quick dinner. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Combined business/pleasure trip so was looking for a reasonably priced place to stay. Location was good/convenient. Hotel clean albeit modest - nothing fancy, small-ish but adequate-sized rooms, some ammenities a bit outdated (TV for example). Decent value.
