SpringHill Suites by Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown

Good place to stay. Location was also good. Breakfast should be served earlier than 6am.

My 11 year old son and I stayed for 2 nights so we could visit the zoo and water-park. We were very happy with the room. Very clean, beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows, included a cozy separate seating area with love seat, 2 chairs and a large writing desk. Inside the front door there was a sink, microwave, fridge and cupboard with real glass glasses. We stayed in a Springhill Suites hotel in El Paso last year. This was identical right down to the lollypops on the front desk counter. The one thing I was not impressed with was the continental breakfast. Not so much but just OK. Also do not expect a view of the beautiful mountains surrounding Salt Lake City. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

My experience was very good. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable in every way. We even lucked out with the other guests -- really nice people. Breakfast was nice. The price was right. We'd go there again.

[...]had the address wrong in the email, took us to by the train station. With the GPS searched "Spring Hill Suites" and got there... little frustrated. The hotel computers did not run well enough to run the internet making printing things impossible. The manager even had me use his to no avail, recommend to print all things before going there.

The room was nice. I thought there would be a second TV in sitting area that would make the room more exceptional and convenient. As it was the TV had to be shared and viewed from a distance from each room. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and at a good temp. although the pool was a bit small.

Most of the stay was as expected for a Marriott Property. It was great business travel class lodging. As for the breakfasts, which can be important to the business traveler: Day 1 - Good! While no hotel I've stayed at on business does "great" with breakfast, they did well with the cheese omelets for the main course. Day 2 - Still good. The egg patties matched the sausage patties an fit on an English Muffin. Day 3 - Ouch. I joked with my business partner that I now knew where gag gift rubber chickens came from; the rubber eggs we had fro breakfast! i understand logistics and mass quantities, but this was ridiculous! Having spent 8 years in the Army, I NEVER had eggs this rubbery in my life! They literally had the texture or rubber bouncy balls colored yellow and chopped up! All told, this was a decent stay for a Marriott property. just ask the cook to pay a little more attention!

Rooms are spacious and nice. I was pleasantly surprised that I could not hear the 2 bus loads of football players once we got to our room. Hot tub was out of order, would have been nice to know that before we booked. Breakfast was nice.

we loved it!!! we did not rent a car for the city. it was a hike to downtown from the hotel. we got lost the 1st night coming back by transit. after we got the system down pat, we were set. eating options within close proximity are limited. we would definitely stay here again!!!!!!!!!!!
