Disappointed
The hotel is old, dark, and run-down for a Marriott. The service was decent, not what I expect from Marriott.

Excellent Hotel Excellent City
I was there for a conference that took place in the hotel. Check in and check out were very fast and easy. The entire hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The rooms were clean and had great views. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The conference rooms were very clean and the food served was overall pretty good. Salt Lake City is the most polite and clean city I have ever been to. Also it is a beautiful city. Every where you look the view is like a painting. I would have never come if it wasn't for business but I am glad I did and would like to come back soon and stay at this hotel.

Good for the most part
The room was great. The entire place was clean and welcoming. The staff were all accommodating and I loved the big fire place in the lobby. One issue, however, was that you couldn't get a single normal t.v. station (besides FitTV and the news) without paying for it. There were better t.v. channel options on the ellipticals at the gym, which I enjoyed while I was there. I also found the menu choices at Elevations to be predictable and uninspiring. The food was fine but I expected more from such a large hotel. I had an easy time getting to and from the hotel using an Express shuttle but, again, I thought because of its size and numerous other amenities that it would have its own shuttle service. I recommend getting one! Overall, it was a good experience. I'm not raving, but I'm also not ranting.

Short walk from hotel
If you're going to be there awhile, you're going to want to venture outside the hotel for meals. There are multiple places a short walk away. Check out the Blue Lemon for lunch and/or dinner. I don't recommend breakfast.

Great customer service
I was in Salt Lake for business and the customer service at the Marriott was excellent from start to finish. Great room service, front desk and house keeping...it was all there. My one gripe (and this is a big one especially if your in for business)would be the so called high speed internet service. I paid 12.95 for a slower than wifi connection when connected via ethernet. The paid wifi was equally as slow. Strangely enough the free wifi in the lobby provided faster internet than the paid service.

SLC Downtown Marriott
The hotel was great. It was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the $12 parking fee just to park in the parking garage for one night. I think it a little absurd to have to pay for parking when I've already paid for a room. But all in all it was a good experience. The staff was friendly and courteous.

The Marriott Hotel Salt Lake City
I am a tall guy so I need some room to move around. This was a room with a king size bed. Why was the bathroom door so so so small?? I know it is not there fault but the jack hammering of the building next door did not help the matters. Then you have the king size sheets that were obviously not king size. I had to get out of bed three times to fix the sheet because it too small for the bed. Don't expect any favors when it comes to internet connection. Get ready to pay $12 a day.

Great pasta restaurant on the south of the hotel across the street. Mid range on price but taste is fantastic!!! Watch out for the parking police when visiting the Salt Palace. It is never FREE. Just pay for parking in the hotel and walk!!!!!! :<

Our Stay @ Salt Lake City Marriott
We had chosen one of the Marriott Hotels because we have always been so very pleased when staying with this hotel chain. This hotel was not as nice as we had hoped. The room was very small and the matress seemed old and lumpy. There was also alot of construction going on around the hotel and they started working very early in the morning. The rooms did not have a fridge or a microwave. The bathroom was very small and the pressure in the shower was very low. We will probably go back to staying at Little America Hotel as we have always done before while visiting Salt Lake City. We come to this city several times each year.
