Great Hotel

Let me start by saying the staff was just great. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I booked this room for me and my family of 5, I was traveling in from SC. and my family was traveling in from Idaho. I called the hotel and asked if my wife could check in early because they were getting there before me and they said no problem. They had a roll-away bed in the room already and extra towels. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool. All in all a great value and I will stay there again. Easy access to the freeway and right in the heart of SLC.

Sleepover in Salt Lake after Jazz Game

The Marriott was very clean and nice, great check in, valet service was awesome. Dissapointed at the long walk to the Energy Solutions Building in the freezing cold weather. The valet man said we could ride the Traxx, but there was no literature or information on how to do this. Also City Creek mall not open on Sunday's. We would have planned our stay over different, between these two things. We did use the gym in the morning, very nice clean, earphones, towels and water.

Absolutely horrendous

This hotel was subpar on numerous levels. The room was poorly maintained (vent door ajar, small stain on pillowcase, non-functioning bathroom light, non-functioning mini fridge), and maintenance left a scattered mess of torn labels in the bathtub after fixing the aforementioned light. When a call was placed to the front desk regarding a group of children yelling and running in the hallway around midnight, security actually showed up at the door when we were trying to get back to sleep and strangely seemed to question the veracity of the complaint. I do not feel like I am being too harsh in this review since the quality of service and amenities was ridiculous. We will not be utilizing the Marriott hotels for future travels.

Holiday In Salt Lake City

This hotel was a great find at an incredibly good price for a major hotel in a major downtown area. It was only a few blocks away for Temple Square and other tourist attractions. Very friendly staff for dining & tourist information. The breakfast buffet was very good, with omelets & eggs made to order. My wife and I would compare this to a stay at a RRits, but at a third to a quarter of the cost.

Even if you are not religious or into Mormonism, visit Temple Square and related sites for great architecture and history. Do an ancestry search for free at one of many dozens of kiosks.

Hotel Stay 6/29-7/1

I was quite upset that after I made the reservations and called and confirmed everything. When my party arrived to check in, they wanted a credit card for a $100.00 deposit. Also it stated there was free parking which there was a fee. You need to make your fees and rules more clearer

Salt Lake City Mararthon

The hotel staff courteous, room service good and was on time. The room was comfortable and worth the expense. The location was good, not very far to walk to attractions and restaurants. Also, the public TRAX (light rail) station nearby.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Short walking distance (two blocks) to Temple Square, Covention Center, the new City Creek mall, Energy Solutions (four blocks), and The Gateway Mall (five blocks). There are several nearby restaurants to choose for dining. Also, recommand using hotel room service for breakfast. This may cost a little more but it's worth the convenience.
