Bad area

The good: The hotel itself was good. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The room was comfortable and it was nice to have the kitchen in the room. The Bad; the location was across the street from a park were the Bum's of Salk Lake city visit all too often. And it was also across the street from some very shady apartments.

Generally excellent service but there was some "drumming" going on close to our room. Not sure what it was but I did call and was told it would stop in about 20 mins and it did. I would check next time before I booked a room.

Great for families with small children!

This hotel has a full kitchen, living room, free wireless internet. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was as nice as a small apartment. Free breakfast was great! A few evenings a week there are also free appetizers and drinks. The staff was so helpful. We were with our 8-month old and it was so easy! We will only stay at these hotels from now on.

Less than a block from this hotel there is a Buca di Beppo, PF Changs, an Italian grocery and a little Thai restaurant. Also, if you're stuck inside, the hotel will order and deliver food for you!

Ruby Steakhouse was very good. As promised by the server, their ribeye steak was tender and juicy! There are multiple locations around town.

Great value in downtown Salt Lake

We arrived before check in but were still able to access the room. The full daily breakfast buffet was great. Quiet and impeccably clean. Only issues were lack of wall art that made the room appear sterile and the advertised master bedroom in a two-bedroom suite was a queen and not a king bed.

Great Hotel in SLC

We initially booked at another hotel but did not like the room or location. I found this hotel with a special offer on Orbitz. Actually, we had a suite with a living room, dining area, kitchenette and bedroom. Everything was VERY CLEAN. Daily service was excellent including washing/replacing dishes and glasses in the kitchenette area. Bedding was very comfortable. Parking lot (free parking) was well lit and patrolled at night. Staff were very friendly. This hotel is about a 20 minute walk to Temple Square. (15 minutes if you walk fast) Swimming pool was clean (but we did not use the facilities). Free wireless worked flawlessly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in SLC and wanting to visit Temple Square or any of the surrounding areas. Access to the highway for going to other locations was also very easy.
