Plaza Hotel at Temple Square

Balcony sliding door did not lock and created a loud breeze that kept us awake most of the night. Our car was side swiped in the parking lot, with no note left. Found out that their are no cameras in the parking lot which is not maintained by the hotel. Great location across from Temple Square. Nice size room.

My family and i went there for LDS conference from AZ. Conference was at 10am and checkout was 11am. I called front desk to see if we could checkout after conference was over at noon, so we could change clothes and head back to AZ.His response was: housekeeping said no late checkout today. Since when do housekeeping are in chaege of hotel?? It was just and hour!! So we got our suitcase and things at 9 am. And on elevator we saw housekeeping, she asked what room are you from so i can go and clean. My mom responded: we leave at 11 am!!!

It's probably my fourth time staying in this hotel and I absolutely love it. Rooms were clean. Workers were nice. They accidentally booked us in a room they are fixing but as soon as they found out they fixed it in a very convenient and timely manner. They even moved my family and our stuff from the floor they were working on to the new room while i was trying to figure things out with the front desk.

Everything about our stay was very positive. We travel with a sky box on our vehicle which makes it difficult to find parking in a covered garage. The hotel was accommodating and made it possible for us to park in their covered parking facility.

Very clean and comfortable. The restaurant downstairs is not great, but has a good breakfast buffet.

Great location, fridge, microwave, soft beds, clean, friendly staff, and restaurant attatched.

We had a nice stay. We were travelling through Salt Lake and just needed a clean and comfortable room for the night.

Right next to Temple Square, great if you want to visit the grounds during your stay. Parking cost $5.00 extra per day, JB's resturant in the building good menu and food at reasonable price, Breakfast buffett was average, to poor, food was ok, but pancakes, bacon, chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs where dried out due to too much time sitting on the (steam line). I would not recommend breakfast buffet, cost was 7.99 each. Fresh cooked is much better.

The Plaza is right next to the Church History Museum and across the street from Temple Square. Being that local was a real plus for us. The view of temple square was only visible from the hallway. :-\ JB's restaurant next door could use some improvement, though. :-\ The chocolate pudding on the salad bar was expired (alcoholic tasting) but they removed it when informed. They seem to REALLY be pinching pennies; straws, napkins, etc.

The Plaza is perfectly located for downtown activities. The check-in was marginal with only one staff to check in three parties waiting in line. The clerk did not acknowledge those waiting in line. The rooms are large but the rooms are poorly designed and much of the space is wasted. In this day and age it is disappointing to not have a continental breakfast.
