My review of Plaza Hotel at Temple Square

The Plaza Hotel is an excellent location if you are doing genealogy research at the History Library. Just walk out the back door and around the corner and you are there. The room was comfortable and it was helpful to have the wireless internet connection. It also has public transportation right in front. They also will transport you to a location (if the van is available) within a few block area if you want to go to another restaurant or event. A PERFECT HOTEL FOR THE LOCATION

Great Place for Genealogist

The Plaza Hotel was a great stay when using the LDS Library next door. The room was very clean. The staff were all polite and helpfull. It was great we didn't have to rent a car the hotel staff came and got us at the airport and took us back when need. We were also given a room on the street side which was great. The view from the room was breathless. It was great having a restuarant in the same hotel, with great prices and fantastic cookies. We had plenty of room to work after coming back from the library. The only thing I found wrong with my stay is the remodeled of the shower. We had to use the bath mat and some towels on the shower floor so the entire bathroom floor wouldn't get wet. They also need to do some repainting in the bathroom. However this wouldn't keep me from staying there next year on my trip to Salt Lake City, or telling all my Geni friends that is the place to stay.

Grateful Guest

The staff were most curtious and helpful.? The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.? However, it is obvious that renuivations have recently been done.? The tile in the bathroom was not finished.? The trim had not been finished yet. Otherwise, it was perfect. The attached restaurant (BJ's, I think) left a lot to be desired.? A healthier menu and more attentive waiters/waitresses are needed.? When at a conference, getting something to eat and getting to the conference can be challenging...but the waiting staff were not LOOKING in the direction of their guests.? They spent a lot of time talking with each other.

very friendly

the staff was very accommadating to my husband and I as we needed a shuttle to rexburg the next day and my husband is handicapped. The head consierge was so helpful in driving us on time to the bustop, and made our stay pleasurable and we felt the hotel staff was also very caring. the room was smaller than we thought, and the bed was too close to the wall on one side for me, but it was very clean and the shower worked great. Overall, we would recommend this hotel to friends, and may stay another time.

Great place

A most excellent hotel. Clean and spacious. Roomy bathroom, desk and table with two chairs, quiet, and most comfortable beds. And right across the street from the Mommon temple grounds. Parking on site for $5--can't beat it.

You will be within a few blocks of a busy, wonderful downtown area. There are an abundance of restaurants--we ate at Lambs(the oldest established restaurant in the city). Great food, reasonable prices.

Very Comfortable

The room was very comfortable and clean at the Plaza Hotel at Temple Square. The hot tub was a little small but sufficient for our needs. I used the guest library near the lobby quite a bit to do paper work where I could really spread out on a larger table. The front desk was very helpful and pleasant to work with. I enjoyed being close by many local attractions. One hard thing, however, was that we could not turn left out of the parking area with our rental car but was able to walk on foot to many places. I recommend walking when you can because it was difficult to find parking.
