Frustrated
The Monaco is a beautiful hotel. The young folks parking the cars are polite and cheery. Rooms are very nice, and the restaraunt downstairs is more than excellent. I stayed 2 nights, and paking was to be charged @$17./day. I signed a reciept for $34.00 when I left, but when I got home, they charged me $84.00, $50.00 over. I emailed them the next day, explaining politely there must be a mistake, and no response. I went to their website a few days later, and emailed them again, explaing that I was overcharged $50.00. It's been two weeks, no response, no refund, no apology. I recommend the hotel, but pay cash, you are on your own!

Perfect choice for the weekend!
I love the Klimpton Hotels, but had never stayed in the one in my home city. We had an opportunity to celebrate, and chose to dine at Bambara and then spend then night at the Monaco. We couldn't have made a better decision. From the wine social to watching dogs walk around to the amazing dinner to the incredible views from the 12th floor, this was by far one of my favorite weekends. Bonus: I had left some medical supplies in my car and the valet ran to my car and searched until he found it. I considered that above and beyond.

Relaxation at it's best!
Every employee at The Monaco was excellent. My friend and I felt very welcome and sufficiently spoiled at the same time. The hotel was beautiful and the location was excellent to park the car and walk around the city. I loved this hotel!

Comfort
This stay was for a birthday getaway into the city. We were met by a cordial valet and staff immediately. We do this several times a year to relax and get away. My wife has wanted to stay at the Hotel Monaco for several years but we always stayed somewhere else until this trip. We will not be staying anywhere else from now on. The rooms are very confortable, the beds usually but in some rooms although they look nice the other furniture is stiff and hard to sit on. The couch and chairs were very comfortable and appealing as was the entire suite. Extreme comfort was the theme. Not only will we stay here again we will highly recommend the Hotel Monaco to family and friends.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
This was located across from the theater but also very close to several excellent restaurants that make it easy to walk to whether for quick bites to eat or something more fancy or pricey.

Hotel Monaco
The hotel room was nice. The only thing is we were on the 6th floor and looking directly into another building. Not exactly a city view. Also, they do not validate parking. We either had to park it ourselves and pay $20 or have them valet park it for $17 for 1 night.

Failed to meet expectations
The thermostat didn't work, so it was very hot all night. The fire alarm went off at 5 am and woke our whole floor up. Checking out, the staff were discourteous and unapologetic for the crazy night. Definitely won't stay again.

Comfortable room.
I loved the hotel. I would definitely come back. We were greeted with smiling faces. Loved the soap, shampoos and conditioners (all were Aveda). And they had umbrellas for us to borrow, since it was raining.

Always Impressed
Kimpton Hotels never disappoint. They have exactly everything you would normally need in-room and are stylishly appointed. They are not the cheapest in town, but they are without fail some of the nicest properties in any city. I was exhausted after a flight which arrived late in a snow storm. I just wanted a place to crash so my friends would not have to get me that night, but as well wanted someplace I knew would have a real bed with nice linens and pillows so I could catch up on some sleep. This was perfect.
