Our stay was just fine; our only concern was that we were unable to get a pot to heat water in our room until our last day....even though we were promised that when we made our reservations. We had one person on a special diet who required hot water to mix with her medicines. The staff was friendly and helpful, for the most part we visited Temple Square and the Olive Garden

Great Hotel and Even Better Staff
Just came back from a 2-day business trip and had an awesome time. Staff is great and very accommodating. The location is great- right in the middle of downtown surrounded by many restaurants and bars. Right across from the TRAX station.

Beerhive Pub is just up the block. A great place for beer lovers. They had 24 beers on draft- 23 of which were from Utah- awesome!!

Great Hotel and Great Service
This is a great place to stay! The rooms are well appointed, the beds comfortable, and the customer service and the attitude of the staff, from housekeeping to front desk to valet parking attendant, is superlative. I cannot emphasize the latter enough. I mentioned at the front desk that I missed having a coffeemaker in room as opposed to going to the lobby for morning coffee. By the time I got back to my room, there was a coffeemaker for my personal use with top brand coffee! The only negative is that the in house restaurant is quite expensive, but there are many alternatives close by. I go to Salt Lake City several times a year, and this hotel is by far the best I have stayed in.

One complaint, but would stay again.
The bed wasn't very comfortable. It seems this is the only place they went cheap, otherwise this is a great place! Super friendly staff, free loaner bicycles, beautifully kept room with many appointments. Would stay again.

Dining tip:
Not Applicable
Draft beers in Utah, by law, are only 3.2% alcohol. If you don't already know, that is quite low. Buy bottled beers instead to get normal value, otherwise out-of-staters will be very disappointed.

seamless getaway
The staff from the first minute I pulled into the driveway were extremely helpful. Yes, paying to valet your car is expensive but unless you want to pay $4 at every stop or carry change all day it's a better deal. Our room was quiet, clean and a perfect weekend getaway. Room service was amazing! I recommend the breakfast it's worth every penny!! The facility itself is very well kept and in the perfect location.

We used the room service at dinner and once at breakfast. Both were great and compared to dining out was reasonably priced.

Frustrated
The Monaco is a beautiful hotel. The young folks parking the cars are polite and cheery. Rooms are very nice, and the restaraunt downstairs is more than excellent. I stayed 2 nights, and paking was to be charged @$17./day. I signed a reciept for $34.00 when I left, but when I got home, they charged me $84.00, $50.00 over. I emailed them the next day, explaining politely there must be a mistake, and no response. I went to their website a few days later, and emailed them again, explaing that I was overcharged $50.00. It's been two weeks, no response, no refund, no apology. I recommend the hotel, but pay cash, you are on your own!

Perfect choice for the weekend!
I love the Klimpton Hotels, but had never stayed in the one in my home city. We had an opportunity to celebrate, and chose to dine at Bambara and then spend then night at the Monaco. We couldn't have made a better decision. From the wine social to watching dogs walk around to the amazing dinner to the incredible views from the 12th floor, this was by far one of my favorite weekends. Bonus: I had left some medical supplies in my car and the valet ran to my car and searched until he found it. I considered that above and beyond.

Every employee at The Monaco was excellent. My friend and I felt very welcome and sufficiently spoiled at the same time. The hotel was beautiful and the location was excellent to park the car and walk around the city. I loved this hotel!
