Microtel Salt Lake City Airport

Close to airport. Good size room. Good breakfast. Overall a positive experience

Hotel is nice,& quiet, Very clean and very friendly staff. Close to airport. Shower was good. I would stay here again. It just needs to replace the beds. Was nice that the smoking section was set in a separate section so didn't bother none smokers.

Very friendly staff. Great continental breakfast. Room was very clean. Shuttle service was prompt. Room are small but what you expect for an airport hotel and for the price.

This hotel is recommended and actually "fits the bill" in many ways. Closest to the airport, helpful staff, no problems, breakfast is almost 100% carbohydrates - bread, bagels and cereal (needs some improvement).

The room was clean and comfortable. No fridge or microwave. If internet is important to you don't stay here. The connection was slower than dial-up (.2mb download). Couldn't remote into my office since slow speed kept locking up the connection. Even checking email was a challenge.

I was there to visit friends and family and to finish some volunteer work I was doing the previous week.The information [...] indicates that a refrigerator and microwave are available but there were no such amenities in the room. In other hotels, when these amenities are mentioned, they are in the room. Because restaurants, etc., are driving distance, this was also an inconvenience.I did ask for an accessible room but my problem is the distance I have to walk--it was a little frustrating to discover that the accessible rooms were as far from the elevator as it was possible for a room to be.The internet did not work in my room and when I brought this to the attention of the staff, they were not able to help. Since my notebook worked on Tuesday in the SLC airport, my notebook was not at fault. There was no outlet in the room for me to connect to.When I went to use the hotel provided pc., it was extremely slow and blocked just about every website I attempted to visit including my email account. The time clock on the pc was way off indicating something was indeed not functioning correctly. Again, even though I brought this to the attention of the staff, nothing was done during the 2 days I was there.This was extremely inconvenient for me as I was doing volunteer work which required the internet.I would not therefore recommend this hotel as most of my friends also are volunteers as well as business people who do their volunteer work over the internet while traveling on business.

The location of the hotel was great not far from the airport as by car.The drive was about 5-10 minutes.The gentleman was pleasant, informative.The room was clean, neat, bed were extremely comfortable.The only flaw was no microwave or fridge in the room. The breakfast selections were not great was expecting some bacon and eggs but heh that is what you get for a place under 70 dollars.Overall I thought it was great!

Room was small but clean, good for business trips.

All was good except the desk staff waited 20 minutes before calling the shuttle driver to pick me up at the airport, then said she would put me on the 4a shuttle back the next - except there is not 4a shuttle. Hotel ended up calling me a cab and covering the fare. Turns out the desk staff was a trainee.

Internet was horrible, maid would not take trash out of room and sometimes would not make up bed. The hotel smells bad, I had to hold my breath at times while walking down the hallways. I just wanted to hide out when I get in my room.
