The Grand America Hotel is a classy affair all the way: the bathrooms are finished in marble, and the rooms have tapestries and brocades. Suites with kitchens are available, and guests should make their requirements known when making their reservation. Upon request, king beds are also available. Some rooms have step-out balconies, from which guests can have a drink and get a great view of the city. Every room in this hotel has free Internet access; this includes both wireless and wired options.

Nice property with efficient staff

Very helpful concierge and front desk staff. Solidly built, quiet rooms. Nightly turn-down service included chocolates that my son loved! A fresh rose adorned the room-service breakfast tray. Not chic, but definitely a class act.

Fantastic Stay!!!

I travel to many meetings in the US and Europe. My stay at the Grand America Hote Is one of the best. This was my first trip to Saly Lake City and should I return I would for certain pick this hotel. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The room was luxurious. Meeting rooms were well appointed with excellent A/V support. The restaurant food was well served and matched the 5 star atmosphere. If you can stay - DO IT! KES

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

It is worthwhile to make the walk downtown to the new shopping center and don't forget the Art Museum. An excellent quality bookstore was putting in stock of both Used and New books on the way. Also, one can attend rehearsals of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on selected days of the week.

Save Your Money

This hotel has everything you would want in a hotel. However, it is missing the details. Maybe I was unlucky and got the room that hasn't been serviced by maintenance in the last year, but NOTHING worked properly. The tub wouldn't hold water, the vanity mirror wouldn't work, knobs missing off of the cabinet, and a TV from the 90's. It seemed as if maintenance was in my room as much as I was! Room service couldn't seem to get it right either. On several occasions they had to go back and get the rest of my order because they FORGOT IT! Management was very apologetic, but never did anything to make it right. I do not recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere that pays attention to the details. It did not meet my expectations, and the price doesn't match the service!
