Salt Lake City hotel with dining, bar, pools and more
The Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown Hotel is in the heart of the city, close to some of its main attractions including the Gallivan Plaza, Gateway Mall and Temple Square. Next time
Next time I will make sure to get a room on the front side of the hotel. The back side of the hotel has a night club that enjoys loud music late into the night. We were able to change rooms the next day but missed out on a good night sleep. After traveling for 6 to 7 hours and want to go to bed early that night and you are prevented to do soo because of the loud music makes your next day miserable. One last thing don't stay on the same level as the hockey traveling team when they are in town. These kids are lound, drink and have minimum regards to other guests.

Blah motel in the city
Myself and my husband stayed here for two nights, and regretted every minute. The rooms were dingy, oddly layed out and had an overpowering musty odor. This hotel should not even be carrying the Marriot Brand -- except for the deceptively modern-looking lobby area, everything else resembled a cheap motel. Of course the location was fine, as it's in the city, but the price in my opinion was not value for money, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff are a class act, outwardly friendly, until you complain!

Noisy hotel
Rave site right next to this hotel - so get a room away from the party site in the rear. Great staff, not such a great part of the city. Like the free breakfasts at other locations better than pay-for-it here.

Great Stay!
Beautiful Rooms, a block from my destination, courteous staff, and no hassle getting a cab at the door for me when I needed it. We were in town for a one-night stay and the Marriott made it feel like a vacation. Couldn't be better.

Market Place Grill, just up the block. Great for just about any type of seafood you could be looking for. Breakfast was great as well.

Neat and clean - great staff
Very nice facility. Clean, downtown location, very comfortable room, nice business center and lounge area. Having been in the travel business for over 35 years, it was another "layover" hotel - but at least a nice, clean one with very helpful staff. If I had business in downtown SLC, I would stay there again.

Unbeatable location for the price
I really enjoyed my stay at this location. Everyone was very kind and very attentive. The rooms were sparkling clean and the atmosphere was very comfortable.

VERY NICE
NICE CLEAN LOBY AND ROOM. STAFF WERE VERY HELPFULL ADN POLITE. THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE ADN CLEAN MY ONLY COMPLAIT WAS THAT I WAS CLOSE TO AND EXIT DOOR ON THE FIRST FLOOR WHICH WAS A BIT ON THE LOUD SIDE, BUT I WAS TIRED ENOUGH THAT AFTER I FELL ASLEEP IT WAS NO LONGER A BOTHER.

THE BAYOU, GREAT CAJUN QUISINE AND A NICE SELECTION OF ADULT BEVERAGES.I'M FROM TEXAS ANS IT WAS A TREAT TO FIND GOOD SEAFOOD WITH A LITTLE TWIST.
