Disappointing in every respect.
This motel was the worst place i have ever stayed, and could not wait to leave. You should not even have this place in your system. The neigborhood was not good. The shower was a open space with no curtains, no iron, no clock,. bed made a noises when you sat on it. I kept my suit case closed at all times in case something would get inside it. There was never any pictures in your system of the rooms. Humm

Good place to stay
The hotel is a great place to stay for a quick visit to Salt Lake City. The interior rooms are much nicer than the exterior would suggest.

Long walk from hotel
This hotel was great if you have a car. The driving distance was short and it was easy to find.

nothing special
room was clean. Reserved a room w/queen bed,but had to take room w/2 queen beds because that was all that was left. Room was very cramped for a 3 night stay. Desk lamp was not plugged in, so had to hunt for plug. Had microwave and frig., but not enough plugs. Had to put microwave on the desk to use. Toilet paper roll was coming off of the wall and very loose. Bath tub drain did not drain very well. Stood in ankle deep water while taking shower. Toilet clogged up. The beds were comfortable. Room needed a LOT of work done.

Bare bones ok
We were in Salt Lake for the Century bicylce tour & booked this hotel for five nights and chose it to save money, which we did. It was cheaper then the rest and it was close enough to the downtown area. We just needed a clean room to sleep in and got that. It seemed there were low income people staying in the rooms for extended periods, they may have a deal with some government agency. The tiny pool was not operational and if it was, you wouldn't want to go in it. Cheap and clean is what we wanted and what we got. Ask for the ground floor as there is no elevator.

Basic accomodation close to amenities
Nice clean room. Two double beds. Noisy fridge, so much so, had to unplug it to sleep. A lot of noise from people in the room above every night - heard every footstep over squeaky floorboards, toilet flushing, bed squeaking etc. No coffee/tea making facilities, but we had a travel kettle with us. Cereal, toast or waffles for breakfast. Had to sit with my back to the fish tank whilst eating to avoid looking at the dead fish that had been laying in there all week! Good location within walking distance of town centre, Liberty park, etc if you are quite fit. Would use this again as a base in SLC.

Little bar over the road called Duffys - typically american, and they make fantastic sandwiches and give you a very warm welcome.

Good motel, but phone first
We booked two nights here as part of an extended driving journey. Our first impression of the motel was very good; it was clean and inviting, with coffee in the room and an internet and printing station in the office. The staff were helpful and welcoming. We also used the laundry facilities, which were quick and effective. However, part of the reason we chose this motel, and even paid a bit more for it, was because it advertised a much-needed fitness room and an outdoor spa tub. Even the sign over the motel itself advertised these, but they were both closed. When I mentioned it, reasons varied from "under repair" to "the owner's brother is using it for storage," but don't count on the facilities advertised here unless you phone and ask about them specifically. The only other trouble with the motel was that Americas Best Inn seems to have their own proprietary cable TV system that includes very few of the usual cable channels (SyFy, TVLand, etc.).
