Romantic getaway ruined
Expecting the condo to be spacious and fancy as depicted in the photos, we were sorely disappointed with the room. The ceilings were short, the bed was uncomfortable and we had to pull it out of the wall, and the place was covered in animal hair. The decor looked like what a crazy old aunt would have. We love hotels and we wished we could have made other arrangements as soon as we got there. The staff was unprofessional and unhelpful.

Disappointment
Fine staff, bad hotel. Like a dungeon, no fan or air conditioning. Leaving the window (there was only one) open helped, but the parking lot and street noise were not pleasant. And, it was dirty; what is it about clean that they don't understand?? Our stay in Park City is usually a favorite--there is lots to do and we were active. First time we didn't stay at the Marriott--big mistake.

Not what we wanted, don't recommend
We had reserved a one bedroom at another property because it had exactly what we were looking for but when we arrived there we were told they were full and we had been "upgraded" (bumped, in other words) to this one. Once we found the Lodge, got into the parking garage which was mostly closed for construction and then found the registration desk we got our room. Since my husband is disabled we have to have easy access, which this place does not; and once I finally got him and everything into the room we discovered that: 1) many items such as dishes and the TV remote were missing; 2) the jetted tub, one of the things I really want on my vacations, just sprayed water all over the bathroom and couldn't be used 3) the only working washing machine in the place was three floors down, and always in use and 4) our room looked right out onto the plaza of the lodge where there was a big festival going on all weekend so beginning at 8 each morning inflatable bouncy castles and such were blown up, and the very noisy activities went on all day and into the night. Since it was a weekend the problems with the room couldn't be fixed, at least that's what the one person in the facility told us. While the room was lovely, with all these problems it did not make for a relaxing trip, and I was very disappointed. If there isn't a way to resolve problems there is something wrong with the place. And since it wasn't even where we had reserved that made it even more disappointing!

The little restaurant across the plaza is very good; the owners are there and took the time to talk and listen to their customers. They even made a special dinner for us since my husband couldn't leave the room.

Skiers Dream Location ! Good Value!
The Spring skiing in Park City was EXCEPTIONAL and the Lodge at Mountain Village was a great place to enjoy it. The Lodge is convenient for everything a skier could want. Besides being ski in/ski out, only a few steps away you will find: good food, shops, expert ski services, fun kid activities, and horse drawn sleigh rides. From our comfortable, one bedroom condo we could sit and enjoy views of the Park City ski slopes and ice rink; and, easily take advantage of the fun night skiing. Just steps from the door are the free local shuttle buses that only take a few minutes to reach the excellent shops and restaurants on Main Street (Butchers and Blue Iguana), and the nearby, not-to-be-missed, ski resorts at Deer Valley (skiers only), and The Canyons. Travel Tips: (1) purchase a multi-day Silver Passport ski pass on-line for lift ticket savings and time savings. It is good for the ski lifts at: Park City, Deer Valley and The Canyons , (2) check out flying Southwest Air for low airfares and no charge for luggage, including skis and boots!

Deer Valley: The daily GOURMET lunch buffet in the Stein Erickson restaurant, at the top of the Viking ski run, is an unforgetable experience. Skiers are welcome. If you come after a morning of skiing, be prepared to ride the ski lift back to the base lodge afterwards.

Nice ski-in/ski-out hotel, can't beat the location as you can ski to within 20 feet of the entrance, covered free parking ... free wifi in all rooms a plus ... just wish they had cable TV (need ESPN !).

Not the Place to Be
Picked hotel last minute for romantic getaway. Wow, how I was surprised when I arrived. The room looked nothing like the pictures! It was the worse experience. From the hair on the couch, to the wood paneling on the walls, big hole behind the phone placed on the wall, the extremely hard mattress, broken blinds, just overall nasty room, I was very upset. For a room on sale for almost $300, it was like a rundown Motel 6. Needless to say, we didn't stay. Location was okay, just crowded but was hard to find hotel and entrance to rooms was like old school dorms. Extremely disappointed!

flashback to the 70s
The concierge asked us how our accommodations were and we said it was a flashback to the 70's. He immediately knew which rooms we were in and apologized even though we hadn't even complained. He was unable to get us other lodging at the same site as it was a ski in/out but offered us a sister location away from the mountains. My husband showed me the pictures that was posted online and they were amazing...marble counter tops, modern appliances, & so much more. We got laminate, outdated appliances (bring a vhs tape for videos anyone), & dressers that fell apart. The management companies should really make the condo owners at least spend the small amount to line kitchen cabinet drawers..they were gross. I will definetly have to call lodgings to make sure posted pictures are similiar to what I am going to be getting vs. "oh, I'm sorry...you got that suite".
