fabulous birthday at the canyons
we went to utah for the first time Jan 12, 2012. the snow was sad...least amount of snow fall for december on record! but they were making snow and we were able to ski anyway. i dont think we were able to get the true "UTAH" ski experience but we made the best of it! the hotel was absolutely amazing!! when we checked in i noticed that we were in a handicap room that only had a shower...i knew i would need a long hot soak in the tub when i got off the slopes. they moved us with no problem. everyone was so nice and so ready to help in every way.

Great Stay
Second time staying at the Grand Summit. I love the access to the skiing right out the door. The hot tubs and pool are great for relaxing after a day of skiing. Only a short drive from Park City where we enjoyed some great dinners and shopping.

Grand Summit Park City
The hotel, staff and amenities were very good, but not where did it say they would be under construction and many of the facilities were closed for the fall season. We did enjoy Park City!

Perfect luxury ski getaway
Great resort. The staff at the hotel and on the slope really make you feel that having a grat time is their priority. Perfect location if you want to just ski and relax. Park city is close enough if you want to get out for some night life.

Ski in - ski out - I'm coming back!
We stayed in a one bedroom that had a fully working kitchen -and a real coffee pot. Walk outside and there is the ski lift. Walk to the next complex and rent skis. Child care there is amazing- first time we ever left our six month old and they were great. Typical resort food- mediocre at best - but its ok. The staff is probably the nicest and most accommodating staff you will find (better than Four Seasons and The Ritz). I'm coming back - great place

Great Hotel:)
The hotel was great. The staff was extremely friendly. The staff was happy to help anyone. The hotel is family/kid friendly. The slopes are right outside the hotel. We are planning a trip back to the Canyons. The price is very affordable to stay for 4 or more days. The restaurants in and out of the hotel are affordable, so is ski rentals.

Ski/Snowboard...or NOT
The hotel is located just south of route 80 and access was easy during the day time; at night, however, it was quite difficult to drive the non-lighted streets to the appropriate area. The staff was quite helpful and gave excellent advice on alternative areas to experience Utah's snow. The resort itself was undergoing extensive "upgrades" and was, according to the staff, closed! I did have a 0400 wake-up alarm due to the inadvertent activation of the fire alarm system. Skiing/snowboarding part of the resort opened 6 days after I arrived! Even the pool was not open for the first four days of my stay.

Unbeatable location for the price
The hotel is located not too far from Park City Village and it closer to the bus route which is FREE. We got to stay in a suite which have a kitchen and we were able to cook breakfast and dinner. It save us a lot of money from eating out which was very expensive, since there were six people in the group. Also, we came during the off season, and the hotel was very QUIET. We didn't have to listen to people constantly flushing the toilet late at night or early in the morning and absolutely no doors banging close or open all the time. Overall, the hotel is very nice and the price is just right for this time of the year.

Try to eat in town. It much cheaper than at the hotel, since this is kind of a fancy hotel. If you can get a suite or condo that is a plus, because you can cook your own meals unless you prefer to eat out.
