terrible service
poor service. you go in the garage to get to the lobby. the front desk has no design sense whatsoever. it's small and unwelcoming, resembling a car valet office. it had no luxury or grandeur that you thought you were paying for. upon arrival, there was no bell man. the only receptionist at the unimpressive front desk was preoccupied and seemed at a loss with everything. finally another recetionist returned from lunch and she doubled as bell boy! they would not put our 2 rooms closer to each other. the hotel was practically empty but they separated us and our family by putting us in 2 wings of the hotel. in the 5 days of our stay, we realized there were NOBODY occupying the rooms in between us. very unfriendly and inflexible upon check out. they insisted 11am check out. we were rushing back from attending the salt lake city temple square tabernacle choir which finished after 10am, when we called to ask for a little extra time, they were very reluctant and unfriendly. she even asked exactly where we were location wise! they kept rushing us after we returned by calling the rooms and sending people up. now, the hotel is barely occupied and the check in time is 4pm. we don't understand why they had to be so difficult. over all, not at all impressive. will not stay there again. st. regis is the way to go.
