nice spot

Our room was clean and as advertised. I suggest renting ski's at the facility if your renting as the nearest ski rental place is in Park City. The Canyons are superior to Park City for skiing and acommodations as they are newer.

Great location at the Canyons

Location was great - as close as you can get to the gondola at Canyons. Room was spacious and quiet, even with lots of people around. Kid friendly!

Great Location at Canyons... If you are Self Service Oriented

Got a great room with a great view at the Sundial Lodge. The rate through this site was a significant savings over the Canyons direct or other websites but... This booking is managed by All Seasons Resort Lodging which is different than the normal Canyons resort management. As a result we had NO made service through the 3 night stay. The reception agent for All seasons Resort is only present during peak check-in hours. When I talked to the reception agent at 5pm on the 3rd night about the lack of maid service, she apologized but said the staff had left for the day but could have the room made up the next morning(when we checked out). So again. Great room at Great rate if you don't mind making your own bed.

Fun, romantic getaway

We really enjoyed staying at the Sundial. Our shuttle was early, but the staff cheerfully stored our luggage until our room was ready and was helpful with directions to the free bus to Park City. The room exceeded expectation, with a kitchen that had plenty of cooking pots and pans, cutlery, dishes and glasses, laundry facilities, up to date electronics and comfortable furnishings. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the village scene, and the hot tub and plunge pool in easy walking distance. The bed was a little soft for us, but the location was excellent, just steps from the main lifts. There were several restaurants in the Village, with varied menus and pricing ranging from affordable to astronomical (on the wine list anyway!). We skied every day - discovering new runs all week. On mountain dining and services were also excellent. It's a short trip to Park City, where we visited the Museum, an art gallery, the brew pub, a fine restaurant and many shops. On check out, the staff again was very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying at the Sundial to anyone skiing Canyons for a few days or more.

Make some time to explore the Park City Museum. There is an admission fee, but it was totally worth it. Great exhibits, lots of information.

Ski Trip

The hotel was excellent. The one thing I did not like about the room is that there was a window into the bathroom. This did not offer very much privacy. The location is great if you are there to ski.

The Canyons resort ski gondola is a 30 second walk from the hotel lobby. Park City is a short drive. The hotel offers a shuttle that takes you to the free bus service which will take you to the Park City ski resort.

Great value for the deal we got

We had a great deal off of the normal rates for one bedroom hotel rooms at the Sundial. The value factor, therefore, significantly increased my overall satisfaction with the hotel. In general, it seems that the Sundial may be the more inexpensive hotel/condo in the Canyons area. Still, the niceness and convenience of the Canyons village adds a level of comfort and ease to a ski trip that staying in even a slightly nicer place away from the slopes would not. Sundial did have clean, spacious rooms, so I certainly felt comfortable in the room; hotel appeared renovated somewhat recently; had good hot tubs and pools; and good views from most rooms. It does not have any of the "added touch" that more luxurious hotels or condos would offer. For that, however, you can do things like pay $15 for a day pass to the next-door Serenity Spa. Most of all, Sundial allowed for immediate access to the Canyons gondola lift and had plenty of free parking underground so that we could also easily drive to other area resorts. These factors cannot be underestimated for having a great ski trip.

Perfect location for skiing the Canyons

Average ski condo. Spacious 1 bedroom suite with decent kitchen. Lumpy bed with mediocre sheets and pillows. Pull out couch with thin mattress, thin blankets. Plenty of indoor parking. Location was great! Right next to the gondola. Would stay there again.

The cozy Sundial

Great and affordable place to stay at the Canyons. The staff was super nice and very helpful. Only complaint was no restaurant or complimentary breakfast, but there are places too eat right next door. Overall, a great place to stay if you want to be right next to the slopes!
