Has The Peaks "Peaked?"

Overall, for $200 a night, this is a not a bad deal. We have been staying here off & on since it was a major chain in the '90s. The included breakfast buffet is a great perk. Having a bar on the 3rd floor for apre' ski with the gang is handy. Just know that rooms are small and aside from some superficial, light cosmetic changes, this is not a new hotel. Our mattress was toast. Also, I would wash out any coffee cups or glasses in your room before using. If you don't have a car, one of the free town bus stops is right in front -- service will take you to Main St. and the 3 ski areas. BTW, there is free heated underground parking. Again, for $200/nt in Feb, not bad, but it's not like the Peaks in Telluride!

Fun side trip

The best part of the Peaks was their indoor-outdoor pool and the indoor and outdoor hot tubs. What needed fixing up was the room the complimentary breakfast was served

Great getaway

Hotel is very comfy. Good location between the Park City mountain and The Canyons. Bus stops right out the front which is handy. Swim in-out pool and large out door spa with jets are great with a view of Park City Mountain however they are next to the freeway. Didn't bother me but me husband mentioned it. Can store boards/ski's downstairs however we were not told about this so had them in our room which was odd. Restaurant is great. Each dish was fantastic. Wonderful service the 1st night. The second night the waitress was very confused however was probably just having a bad night. Nice soaps/shampoo/conditioner...crabtree and evelyn. Very comfy beds. Great business room with free internet and use of printer. We'll go back

Inexpensive getaway

This was good for the money. The beds were very comfortable. It is small but comfortable. Nice staff and very helpful. Walls are somewhat thin, could hear the neighbors. Pool and hot tubs are great.

Not much for the money.

This hotel was okay, but not great. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but a little small. The shower head was odd, more like a pressure washer than a shower head. The swimming pool was nice, and the kids loved the ability to swim from outside to inside. It just seemed like you should get more for the price. I'm a "budget" traveler and this is the first time I've paid over $100/night for a hotel. This is also the fist time I've stayed in a hotel that you had to pay extra for Wireless internet and that did not provide some kind of breakfast. I guess I may have been paying for location, but I would expect more for the money. The $50 - $75 hotels I've stayed in the past had free breakfast and free wireless internet, and were just as clean and comfortable. Although maybe not as well up-kept.

There are good coupons in the pamphlets from the hotel lobby. 20% off the pizza and noodle parlor is the one we used. It was good pizza.
