The hotel is one of the newer ones in Ogden. The staff was very friendly and courtious. The room was clean and bright. The bed was too soft for us, and we thought the price for the room was a little high considering the area it was in.

Overall I was very pleased. Staff were very friendly and I like the room. My only complaint is that you can easily hear people through the walls. Even if you can't completely understand a conversation or the tv through the walls - you shouldn't be able to hear is so easily.

Great place to stay
The room was very clean; really good breakfast; friendly, helpful staff; easy to find. The pillows smelled of bleach but at least you know they're clean. The pool was closed for remodeling while we were there, wish we would have known that beforehand. The mattress was very firm which didn't bother us.

ok hotel, not worth the price
nice hotel, not worth the price though. Staff was very nice and had a great breakfast. Hot tub & pool open 24 hours but hot tub was not hot enough and jet weren't very good.

Traveling with Kids
Nice hotel - even without the remodel
The hotel rooms are large. Ours included two queen beds plus a queen-size hide-a-bed, perfect for our large family. However, we requested the two rooms for our group to be adjoining. At check-in, the staff said that all the adjoining rooms were full for the night. The next morning we went back to the desk to try and get adjoining rooms for the duration of our stay and were told that adjoining rooms with two queen beds each did not exist. The hotel is to be remodeled soon but our rooms were great just as they are now.

We enjoyed a visit to The Lagoon, just south of Odgen. The hotel had discount tickets.

Good location and price
Needed a hotel between airport and family that I was visiting. Hotel was being renovated and the smell of the paint was very strong. The location was off the interstate and easy to get to.

The Standard Holiday Inn Express
This place is just like all of the other HIE's with little variance. Good, standard, food, checkin and rooms. I got what I paid for.

hard to get to/easy to leave
with all the road construction right outside this hotel it was hard to figure out jsut how to get to it BUT it was a no-brainer upon leaving!! only disappointment was we thought there was going to be a small fridge & microwave in the room but there was neither. other than that--all was good, even a restaurant we could walk to & a convenience store/truck stop next door. bathroom was nice & big w/nice towels!!

the truckstop next door is an all-nighter so if you plan on leaving early(as we did) you've got breakfast/coffee right there
