Great Hotel, Great Staff/Management
This is a great Historic Hotel. We had a complimentary upgrade to and 'Executive King', which is greatly appreciated. The room and public space is all very clean. In fact, ask for any room cleaned by 'Tevelia'...she does a great job. This is my hotel of choice in the greater Salt Lake region.

It's Ogden's most unique big hotel
The first room they showed me on the 3rd floor of the 11 story tower was not worth $170, - a bit musky (windows do not open) this is an intriguing 80 year old hotel. So I brought the key back to the desk and [...] showed us another that was "better" on the 7th floor but still not a $170 room. [...] at the ft. desk was especially nice. They know how to keep the hopes high, since my wife and I did want to stay there.. I was sure they had an acceptable room in their inventory. We came back 2 hours later and gave us one of 6 "more modern" suites on the 11th floor. It was acceptable, but still not a $170 room (very plain fixtures) Ogden is a bigger "poor" town, so all standards may seem abit lax altogether. The bed on the 11th floor did not seem as lumpy as the ones on the 3rd or 7th floor....But the room on the 11th was smaller and had only 1 window. The other 2 floors seemed to have 3 windows in the suites (that furniture with the printed grain on it?! ) Breakfast was "hot" Good cheese-eggs! and toast in the standard "get-it-yourself" setting. One woman was upset they they did not have decaf coffee... The bacon smelled good, but there was never enough to satisfy the crowd waiting for more food to be filled in the steam tray) My wife was put off, and had to buy breakfast later. Well, I just hope the owners try a bit harder and stop milking the place, and try to actually perform beyond the sleepy backdrop of Ogden's charming lethergy. The location is marvelous, the day supurb, and the canyon divine! The parking lot was free and covered. Plenty of room for our car and small trailer with scooter on board! I likely will be back. Good overall!

Try Bistro on 25th Street. Roosters is OK, but highly overrated.

Comfy, Historic Hotel
We were taking a road trip from Seattle to Denver and stopped in Ogden on the way. We were tired and wanted a quiet comfortable room for the night. We got exactly what we wanted. The hotel was doing some renovations, but we were not inconvenienced by them in any way. The free breakfast was nice, but the scrambled eggs included diced ham and I don't eat pork so I would have been happier to have plain eggs considering there was a separate warming tray of bacon and sausage for the pork lovers! Other than that, it was great!

Extended Stay for Business
Very comfortable to come home to on an extended business trip. Safe, convenient and scenic location with mountain backdrop and secure, covered parking. I like the old fashioned building and the fact that they are listed in the Nat'l Register of Historic Places. Hot breakfast is included. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful.

There's a FANTASTIC farmer's market right up the street open daily. Since there's a fridge and sink in my room I can eat fresh salads without eating out all the time!
