Surprisingly nice

This is the second time I've stayed here. Ordinarily, I don't stay at La Quintas because so many of them are run-down and not well run -- the chain is clearly not very selective. But this Moab hotel is far different: clean large rooms, nice bedding (not cheap synthetic stuff), and everything well-maintained. There is not a big breakfast selection, but free hotel breakfasts are not much of an amenity anyway (I don't like to start my day with bad coffee, dry cereal, and sugary pastries anyway).

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Try the Blue Pig restaurant next door: surprisingly good barbecue: that is, real smoked meats and not just greasy pork with a lot of sugary sauce. On the other hand, avoid Zax Restaurant down the street: greasy steaks, stale salad bar.

Good find, Good Value

Super clean, big rooms, new furnishings, great bed & pillows. Close to the center of town. Small pool and not a great level of service from the front desk. Price was $109 off Orbitz which was in between the $69 River Canyon and $169 Hampton. I'd stay there again.

Great motel

We always try to stay at La Quinta because they welcome dogs. This is one of the best La Quintas we've stayed at. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms very comfortable and nice (and no evidence such as smells/stains that dogs even stay in the rooms), great location, good facilities for kids and dogs, and the included breakfast spread is pretty amazing considering all of the people it feeds.

Great outdoor recreation in red rock country is just a short drive in any direction or even accessible by bicycle out the front door.

Loved this hotel

Very nice, spacious room. Huge free breakfast. The in-room refrig sure saved money on meals - we packed our lunches every day. Probably one of the best hotel values I've found when travelling.

allergic to animals and smoke

The hotel is great for what it is. I asked for a smoke free room, but could definately smell smoke in the room. Also, very allergic to cats and dogs and could tell there had been animals in the room. Picked up some fur on my sock. The people working there were very nice and helpful.
