Moad Holiday Inn Express

We had a great stay at a very clean and professional hotel. That staff was polite and provided nothing but great service. The rooms were spotless even under black light. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The Simmons Pillow Top Beauty Rest mattresses were so comfortable.

Worst Hotel, does not honor chain policy

Will never stay here again, nor any other Holiday Inn/Express. Two night sbooked into what we eventually learned was about worst room in hotel, #207. Approx lower 15" of window not blocked by hotel sign/carport and smelled awful. Dark in middle of day. Asked to be moved 2nd night, assured then and again the following morning we'd have room 324 with an actual window but when we returned room had been given to someone else. Manager was called but refused to honor their written gaurantee that if not right you don't pay for it. We believe it was manager himself and not the employee who made the mistake. No one I know will ever stay at a Holiday Inn or Express again if I can help it.

Nice hotel poor managment

Nice hotel but staff was not happy to be working there and I actually saw one hotel staff member yelled at by managment and storm off at the front desk of the hotel. They also billed my credit card for the stay even after I pre paid thru orbits. Lesson that I learned is I will never pre pay for any hotel stay until I actualy stay there.

Off-season blues

Two full days of hiking in Canyonlands and Arches...fabulous! Hard to get much sleep, though. Sagging bed and ill-fitting sheets were annoying. Desk clerk said "yeah we know...we will get new sheets this off-season". Breakfasts were good. Location good.

Unbeatable location near national parks.

Great location for a vacation in Canyon Lands. Hiking in National Parks is fantastic. Overwhelming scenery. Outstanding restaurants in Moab. Hotel in quiet area rather than in middle of Moab like many others.

Another good HIE experience

We used this hotel as our home base for visits to Arches and Canyonlands NP. Located at the north end of Moab, this hotel was excellent for this purpose - very close to Arches (5 minutes) and an easy 30 mile drive to Canyonlands. The road noise from highway 191 was annoying if the room window was open. When closed, it wasn't an issue. Service was very good and accommodating. The room was up to typical HIE standards. Good continental breakfast with excellent selection.

A Good Time was had by all

We checked in late in the evening without a problem. The staff was pleasant and easy-going. One staff member saw us at the tourist information center and came over to make some recommendations based on her own experiences. In the morning there was no pressure to clear out for maid service. Breakfast was good and offered a wide variety.

Great Stay and Play Place

I had never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and I was very pleased. Their staff was helpful and efficient the room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast buffet was very good and well serviced, and my children loved the big screened television in the room. I loved how quiet it was and how pleasant I found the house keeping staff. I would stay again in a second.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Moab is a fun town with lots of out door attractions and fun restaurants and stores to browse. The Motel is a short drive from Moab's downtown area and only about a mile from Arches National Park and the Colorado River excursion point. If your a bicyclist they offer you a place to lock up your bikes. It was very nice.
