Needs some TLC
Room and furniture was tired and shabby it smelled. The pool was disgusting needing a good clean. 15 minute walk to main street. No coffee facilities in room and only available in foyer till 9pm.

Apached Hotel
Hotel manager did not have a king bed as I rquested when I made the reservation with [...]. Manager stated she only is required to give me the next best available. So I paid for something I did not receeive. Motel did not tell you that no more kings were available.

The people working at the Hotel were VERY nice and, friendly, but this Hotel is out dated and dirty. Thank goodness I had my own sleeping bag and pillow because the bedspread and blanket were dirty and stained. I did enjoy the hot shower and not sleeping on the ground after 10 days on the river but would choose another Hotel even if a bit more money next time. Also if you have no car it is a bit of a walk to Main street where the restaurants are.

We stayed here because it had a reasonable internet rate and seemed decent by looking at it online. In reality our upstairs room was old and dirty. The older receptionist lady was not at all friendly. The continental breakfast had good homemade waffles and pastries, but there was no juice and nowhere to sit. I would opt for another place.

Scalped at the Apache Motel, Moab
Upon arrival we were given "Some Bad News". We booked online at [...]for $49 per night. But, there was a "problem" with the online service, the room was really $89 per night. The manager said she had been trying to call but had the wrong number. Town was sold out, so we were scalped....

We were there to visit Canyonlands National Park. The motel is a few blocks off the main street in town which we considered a plus. It is an older motel, but it has been well maintained. The room was basic but clean, comfortable and quiet. For the price it was a good value.

Best price
Old but well maintained. They really push the "john Wayne stayed here." I stayed twice, 7 days apart. The 1st night the advertised wi-fi Internet didn't reach my room. The 2nd night it was sporadic and unreliable, so if that's important to you, consider carefully. Others in our large group stayed at various other places and all paid a lot more each night.

Apache Motel - Moab, UT - Awesome!
We had a wonderful stay at the Apache. The history of John Wayne tugged us there! The staff were very nice, and went out of there way to help us...room was a nice size, and very clean. After hiking miles around Arches and Canyonland, we really just needed a place to lay our head. The breakfast area needs to be expanded though, no where to eat. Grabbed a quick cup of coffee and a danish, then had a full BIG breakfast down the road to sustain us for a full day of hiking. Very close to town, but...off the beaten, noisy path which we liked!

We had breakfast at the Moab diner, which was excellent and very quick, and had dinner both nights at the Moab Brewery! Both nights were great, love the Lizard Micro Brew! Great smoked items on the menu too!

Old, but Well Kept
This hotel is a few blocks from the main street in Moab, but it's just a 5 min walk to the restaurants and shops. Although older, it's been nicely updated with large rooms, flat screen TV and WiFi. Don't expect much for breakfast, and walls are a little thin, but a nice place to stay overall.
