Beautiful room, far from Sundance
The staff was very nice & my room was gorgeous! Huge, spacious, & very nicely decorated. Very comfortable bed. TV channels are very limited though. No fridge in my room (a villa suite). The oatmeal is amazing! Lol. Came for Sundance, they provided a shuttle which ran hourly & drivers were so nice. A ways out from Sundance (25-30mins) which is longer if it snows (which it does hard & fast here) so just a precaution of the weather's bad. But overall very pleasan experience & extremely nice staff

Nice place, slightly off the beaten path
Stayed here while skiing at Park City resorts, which were full for presidents week, good call, only a short drive to ski and very peaseful and relaxing here. Nice newer building done in Swiss Style. We stayed in one of the hotel rooms w 2 queen beds, coffee maker, safe, no frig or microwave. Beds were very comfortable, nice mountain view. didn't have time to try the spa but the pools are nice both inside and out (2 pools, 2 hot tubs)with nice changing rooms. Previous review mentioned trouble w front desk - they must have fixed this because everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful from the front desk printing driving directions to a faraway ski area, to the valet who brushed off a foot of snow from the car, to housekeeping who retrived a lost T-shirt - all very good! Schneitter's restraunt has a great seafood buffet on friday's, don't miss it, and try the mexican place in Midway with the amazing salsa bar!

D for front desk, A for everything else
We booked six nights at the Zermatt Resort and Spa during Sundance to go skiing and watch movies. The front desk had a 100% failure rate when it came to answering questions accurately, booking transportation, relaying messages to bell desk, and very unhelpful in throughout. It was probably because virtually all staff was trainee status during our stay, but one would think that during the most important and busiest time of the year, they would get their most seasoned and top notch staff to be on duty? Inflexible customer service, unwilling to think out of the box. It caused more angst than peace. The bell staff (which was critical since this resort is 18 miles, not 9 miles, away from Park City as stated in their website) was incredible. They went out of their way to come up with a better shuttle schedule for the guests to go to and from Sundance, very courteous, all with a "yes" attitude, and we just felt sorry that they had to work with a rather incompetent front desk. Matty's Bistro was the gem (we didn't eat at Schneitter'). Everything was NY high profile restaurant worthy. Their duck confit and gorgonzola flat bread, house smoked salmon cobb salad, their ham and cheese sandwich, they all sound kind of run of the mill but the execution was sophisticated. If any major metro area restaurant serves such quality, the prices would have been doubled. We ate there four times and wish we ate there more! Finally, the Spa is pretty good (albeit expensive, ~$100 for a mani pedi) and their large pool (both inside and outside) and hot tubs were very pleasant. We would never return due to their service, but would definitely go back for the food!
