Interesting combination of variables
This is an interesting combination of variables. We always like Marriott because the rooms are so clean and service has always been good. This was mostly also true here. The room we were in first, on the west side near 89/91, was noisy because of road traffic AND warm because of the western sun. Cooler was not adequate for room--but staff switched us readily upon request. Rooms have great features and are clean and nice. Decor over all the hotel has a bit of a heavy-handed feel and yet we saw mostly younger families and folks who would tend to like a more modern feel, I would think. The breakfast side of things was my least favorite of any Marriott we've stayed in. Food didn't seem as fresh and good as others--garbage receptacle often overflowed so fast the staff couldn't seem to keep up. We saw no info. available on the area here. Just kind of a mixed "vibe" here. Can't put my finger on it...

Go to the visitor's center on main street...they gave tips on everything from dining to hiking. Excellent overall picture of what's "best."

WOW! What an experience!
It was a total pleasure experience. After a very long day, the hot tub then pool was so relaxing. There were several families with small children and it was fun to watch as we relaxed. There was a wonderful seating area just outside the pool where we could dry off before returning to our room. The breakfast was wonderful, easy and quick. The staff was exceptional and VERY friendly. We will stay again!!
