Holiday Inn Express LAYTON-I-15

We have stayed there numerous times while in town visiting our son who goes to school there. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We always stay in the suite for the extra room, really only one of two hotels in the area that has anything other than a basic room. Lots to do in the area: two movie theaters, a mall, Target and tons of restaurants. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They even have free wine and beer and snacks in the evening on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We plan to stay there again in the near future!

Hotel under renovation. Hotel is good for business, but expensive for what you are getting. Not the best value.

The room was very nice with two comfortable queen beds. We asked for a crib and the hotel had it there in no time at all. The continental breakfast was very good with a wide assortment of food. The lady who worked there was very efficient and had the food rotated as the food diminished. There are very few hotels that have the hot cocoa packets anymore so I was thrilled that this hotel had them. Thank you so much! I loved everything about this hotel - the only thing is that the bathroom is a little small. It is very nice and updated and everything but just a couple more inches and it would have been perfect. The children loved the pool. We came to Utah for a meeting but afterwards we wanted the children to have fun in your pool. We couldn't have been more pleased to see the smiles of our children and grandchildren swimming in your warm pool. Thank you for providing a warm pool during the winter/spring time. It is hard to find a hotel whose water is warm at this time of year. Overall, we would return to your hotel anytime we come to this area. It was a great room for a great price. Many thanks!

While we visited Layton there was quit a bit to do. We had the mall just down the street, Toys R Us across the street and many dinning places around the area. Salt Lake is not far from Layton and Ogden is about the same. I would recommend this place because it is the middle of both Cities. The hotel was very clean and the staff was great! The breakfast in the morning was the best breakfast I have had at any hotel. The only problem was the room we were in had no view of the town... It had a view of another building about 9-10ft away. All night this building had loud bumping music coming from it. The pool and hot tub were very nice, perfect temp. All in all I would do it again. Thank you to the kind staff!!!

Pros-Nice staff, pretty clean rooms, close to stores, easy access to freeway, free cookies and milk Cons- all the rooms we tried (3) smelled like tobacco smoke (it was a non-smoking facility). The staff told us that if some one smoked in a room the venelation system spread it to other rooms. The sink was right next to the door. If some one came in you could get hit by the door.

four days in a pleasant motel. room was small for a handicapped room.

Nice amenities and location. Rooms have microwave & minifridge. They have a guest laundry. The indoor Jacuzzi is great. They sell discount lift tickets to Snowbasin and Powder Mountain. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms were spotless. The location was perfect with numerous places to eat and good shopping nearby. The hotel sold discount tickets and parking to Lagoon.

We were pleased with everything regarding this hotel. Room was pleasant, comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast was more than satisfactory. The little touches, such as cookies for an evening snack were thoughtful. Cleaning staff was very helpful. My Mother became ill while staying at this hotel, and the staff at the front desk offered to check on her several times during the morning. We declined, to let her sleep, but apprecated their offer. I would have no problem using this hotel again when visiting in the Layton/Hill Air Force Base area.

The hotel was fine. The only bad thing is that the pool was not heated. A free continental breakfast is always a good thing.
