Fun getaway
Upon walking in we were greeted by very friendly desk staff. The building was extremly clean and welcoming. We found the room in the same great condition. The breakfast service was great and the added feature of having a to order menu was wonderful and tasty. Everyone and everthing was stress free. They even had laundry available.

Ok but wouldn't recommend.
Pros: Great location, great breakfast (but not complimentary, expensive) friendly staff, clean room and fair price. Cons: Thin walls,(we could hear neighbors talking) thin bed cover, (blanket was as thin as a sheet), no way to control the temperature of our room,(it's either on heat all night, or on cool all night) and the room was a little run down, with torn carpet.

Over priced hotem
The hotel is over priced for what they offer. There are at least five hotel within two block of this hotel which I believe offer the same comfort and services for a lot lower price. The staff at the time of check in were new and could not answer my questions. Their staff did not communicated with one another causing me to answer their question several times.

Not impressed
I have traveled to different locations in the U.S and in Africa with accomodations in various settings. However, I have never had the experience of not having a toilet seat in the room when I prepared to use the restroom. Nor, have I experienced bed bugs in past hotel experiences. Both occured during my stay at Courtyard Marriott in Layton.

Nothing Special
All the bedding and linens smelled of bleach. After taking a shower and drying off, the smell was on your skin. One night the fire alarm kept going off starting at 5 am. I think it went off 4 times. The service was fine and the room was clean. The TV was a nice LCD but the reception was bad and it was basic cable with no guide so you had to flip through 50 channels to find anything on.

Great location for eating, shopping, and movies. Oh... last thing, they want almost $8.00 for each breakfast at the buffet.
