Very comfortable room.

Excellent value. Even though the lobby was going under a renovation I was never bother by any construction noise. Rooms are large with comfortable beds. free wifi and a continental breakfast. Close to everything in town. I would most definitely recommend this hotel. To Zion it was a pleasant 25 minute drive.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

The prices for a hotel closer to Zion was almost twice the price here. Considering the quality of the room the short drive was well worth it.

Slept well

Was greeted by a courteous desk clerk who found my reservation easily. Was not notified so did not find out til I got to the room that I was being put in a room with 2 queen beds instead of the King I had made the reservation for. It was okay in this instance. Room was fairly clean and the heater worked. Was better than I expected.

Value for $ passible

The proprietors are very nice people but the property has really run down. When I turned back the comforter on the bed there was dried grape jelly on the underside. Although a hot tub was advertised, it had water but was full of lawn furniture and padlocked. The security chain lock on my door was broken, The door to the room had gaps around it so big I am sure no heater would keep the room warm on a cold day. Also, the TV was15 years-old with a 19" screen. The location is excellent - right in the middle of town. Even though my stay was in the off season, occupancy was high. I hope the proprietors re-invest some money to bring the property back to its potential.

The town is nestled a valley surrounded by majestic, colorful mountains. Even if you don't venture into Zion or the Grand Canyon, the town and immediate surroundings offer plenty of beauty. There are also several excellently maintained and reasonably priced golf courses.

Horrible Experience

I picked this hotel on a cross-country trip, knowing it would be pretty modest. But what really made me fill out the review was two major things: 1) It was 96 degrees in Hurricane all day, and after we arrived to the Travelodge in the late evening after a full day at Zion National Park, we opened the door to our room and ware greeted by a furnace blast of hot air. They never turned on the air conditioning, and it was literally greater than 90 degrees in the room. It took over an hour for the temperature (with the undersized A/C unit) to drop below 85 degrees, and it took half the night of sleeping in a sweat box for the temperature to be comfortable. 2) We based our wakeup time around the "free breakfast." We had to wait 15 minutes for the breakfast area to open up, because the person running it was late. Even worse, the "breakfast" consisted of nothing more than cereal and terrible bread. No orange juice, eggs, or anything else of significance; hardly a real breakfast. Bottom line is I expected a poor 2-star hotel, and what we got was a 1-star experience, which I wouldn't accept no matter how cheap.

Why!

No iron in the room, called about 4 or 5 times only to have the phone on the other end to pick up then hang up! Floor"s were soooo dirty when you went to take a shower you saw black foot prints when you put your foot down in the tub to get in. Pool was at the every front of the part of the road where you didn't really want to be seen half dress . Was not happy at this place!

Clean, comfortable, quiet.

After spending a day in Zion, it was very reassuring to know that we had clean bathrooms to shower in and comfy beds to sleep in. The area is very calm so sleep was easy to come by. The spa and pool were clean and accessible. The microwave and refrigerator in every room were also very helpful for us out of state road travelers.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Do not go to Baristas!!!! Food was not that great, it took an hour and a half to prepare and it was suuuper expensive. To top it off the owner is a very cooky-creepy man that shows off a big chunk of prime rib as soon as you walk in.
