Good basic value

I stayed in Hurricane UT in order to visit Zion National Park. It gave much better value than other properties nearer the Park entrance. I had little interaction with the staff, but the room was clean and comfortable and I had no noise problems.

good value for money

This was the third motel stay in Hurricane and we finally got it right. Located on Hwy 9, the motel is clean, well kept and very reasonably priced. There are no amenities other than what comes in the room.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

The ONLY decent place to eat in Hurricane is the Main Street Cafe. It is locally owned, the food there is home made and very reasonably priced with several vegitarian options.

BED BUG ALERT!!!

There were bed bugs in the beds, and when told about them, the staff only, stuck bedding in the dryer then returned it. They would not refund our money even after seeing the bedbugs!!! DO NOT stay here.

Bleak,hot and Dirty

When we arrived the reception was churlish and not very friendly. The room had not been cleaned, so we asked the Manager to clean the room. He queried this and then reluctantly came and vacuumed the floor in ten seconds flat. When we looked in the fridge, there was a moulding food package in the freezer compartment, which I dumped on the front desk in front of the Manager - a strained look from him, but no apology. The fridge had no thermostat, so it froze everything. There was no bin for ash outside, so we were forced to dispose of our cigarette ends elsewhere. We stayed there 3 nights so as to visit Zion National Park, which is wonderful. In retrospect we wish we had paid a bit more and stayed in a place more comfortable. We will not choose a DaysInn Hotel again, unless absolutely necessary!
