Nasty

Old, run down, smells like mold, top floor was blocked off with a skid. Floors were so dirty we were afraid to remove our socks and didn't. Nothing good to say about this place. Spend the extra money and go else where.

Stay was as expected.

The Book Cliff Lodge was pretty much what we expected. I am 22 years old and my fiance is 24 years old. We booked two nights in this hotel because we had a river trip in Moab, and most hotels in Moab were either booked or over our budget. The hotel (at a glance) was old and a little scary looking. Once we got into our room, though, we felt a lot better about staying there. The room was pretty big, there was a microwave, fridge, and a coffee maker. It was a decent bed with clean sheets and a cute comforter. It was what we expected for the price we paid. The shower in the morning was somewhat cold, and that would be the only thing I would expect to be better next time we come around. Overall, this hotel was worth the price we paid and we had a good trip.

We found an AWESOME Mexican restaurant by the name of "La Veracruzana" located at 125 W Main Street (we thought it was Ben's Cafe, as the huge sign is still up.) That was the best Mexican food we had in a long time! It was great and I would recommend to anyone staying in Green River.

Book Cliff Hotel

Checked on-line. Hotel sounded pretty good. Upon arrival; disappointed with overall findings. Only thing going for hotel was the decent price and for just overnight accommodations it was OK.

Book Cliff Lodge

Oh my. This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, EVER. The description touted that it had been newly renovated, that was a lie. The room smelled horrible, the outlets were sketchy and wouldn't hold our chargers (kept falling out of the outlet). One rickety lamp worked. Even the soap bars had mildewy paper. Totally gross. Not to mention the lovely garish pink and yellow painted walls and original 1965 stained berber carpet.

We were fortunate enough to have leftover pizza from lunch. The only dining options we spied was at the grocery across the street.

Not Again

Just needed a place to sleep, doing the road trip from California to Colorado. While the bed was clean, I was left with the impression that this place was a crack hotel. Someone had obviously busted the door in before, as a piece of door trim had been replaced. So where there should be one solid piece of trim, there were 3. The two pieces from the original one, and the third piece which was "cut" in to replace where it had been broken. The floor sloped, with different degrees of slope in different areas. The patch jobs from where something had previously gone threw the wall, were extremely noticeable, There were numerous stains on the carpet, and one of the pillows smelled like it had been thrown up on. So. Threw the stinky pillow on the floor, crawled into the bed which was clean, and slept. Oh yeah, they did have a small refrigerator which was nice to have, and a microwave, also nice, but had to move the microwave in order to use it as some of the electrical outlets did not work. Walls were dirty and the counters bathroom counter didn't look clean. I do have to say it was the easiest check in I have had in years though, I didn't have to wait which is really nice at midnight when you have already been driving for 12 hours.

Book Cliff Lodge or Bates Motel?

The Book Cliff Lodge is a cheap stay in a really tiny town. If you make your peace with that, it is only slightly terrible. In my opinion, it is absolutely NOT worth the twenty bucks you save to stay there! The hotel consists of 3 buildings: two of them are abandoned and falling apart, and the building you stay in is behind one of the other abandoned buildings. It looks like it went out of business 25 years ago and they are still renting rooms there. The rooms are large, vaguely clean, and give you a haunting feeling, like you are squatting illegally somewhere. The windows (oddly enough) are sealed shut for "your safety". You are in beautiful Utah and your view is of tumbleweeds, Bud light cans, and random pieces of scrap wood which they even use to hold up parts of the building. This place should be shut down... half of it already is. However, it is an okay place to stay once you are in your room, you forget what the building looks like, and you aren't too spoiled. In other words, it is okay if you get a little bit drunk before you go to bed. However, the abv in Utah can't be more than 3.2%, so stock up. I recommend going to Ray's. The burgers are great, the beer is good, and the staff is nice.

Ray's is really good. The Green River Coffee Company is a cool place to poke around, but the coffee isn't very good... they make a good breakfast sandwich, though. The town is this weird little gem that is mostly shut down, but actually really worth staying in... slice of American life and all that.

Three star my foot

This motel was listed as a 3 star, not even close...[...] Only very small soap was supplied no shampoo, no coffee machine, and no hair dryer. Not a motel I would ever stay at again.......

Nasty, nasty, nasty!!!

The front desk is looking like closed all the time. It smelled so disgusting, we could not even sleep. The bathroom was not clean at all (hairs from former travellers all over the place). Yellow spots on the toilet :-( You may have a better sleep under a bridge.
