Great place for the price

We came to Cedar City for my father's funeral, not exactly a vacation. But this was a great place for the price; we will stay again on our next trip to Cedar City. The staff was very helpful and quickly responded to our request. Bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were very thin. I will bring my own or ask for a second set the next time. They have a great location close to everything in Cedar City. This was a very enjoyable stay, even under the circumstances.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

If you like Mexican food you have to try the "Mexican Resturant and Cantina" at 890 N Main St. The food was very good and the service quick. The price was low to moderate and worth every penny.

Not bad, but not great

I would have given it 2.5 stars, but its not an option. The hotel itself is clean and simple. However, the lazy boy chair in the room was broken. The room was fairly spacious (compared what whe had expected), but he contintental breakfast needs help. Waffles, bagles, english muffins, cereal...that was about it. Of course they had coffee and juice, but the didn't have yogurt, eggs, fruit, or anything else that you typically find at a continental breakfast. Its just a small hotel, in a small town. Nothing extra, nothing fancy, don't expect the worst, but don't expect to be pleasantly surprised.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Two restaurants in town are EXCELLENT and very much worth a short drive. On 100 South there is an amazing restaurant. It's a house converted to a restaurant, its called Garden House. They home-make their own soups (I love the cream of cauliflower) and breads. There is also another restaurant on Main Street called Sullivan's Steakhouse. It is next door to Sullivan's Cafe. If you're looking at the restaurant from the street the cafe is on the right, the steakhouse on the left (nearest to the hotel). It is a rustic steakhouse, but very very good.

Good - Was on a trip to national parks. Hotel maintenance like showers / toilets / chairs etc need to be proper - looks like some are broken. OK

Inexpensive and clean

I stayed for three nights while visiting my kid who is going to college in Cedar City. The hotel was convenient, inexpensive and clean. Internet access worked as it should. The room was not particularly well sound-proofed, but mercifully things quieted down after 10pm so it didn't bother me. Roof furnishings were basic but okay. The bed was decent, but not a pillowtop by any means. I did use this as my 'base camp' to explore the various parks and the Cedar Breaks National Monument, which was awesome. Overall, a good stay... nothing fancy, but good value.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Take the time to detour long enough to drive around the Cedar Breaks... it's maybe 25-30 miles off of I-15, but spectacular. Bryce Canyon, et al, are also not that far off, but most folks actually plan to go there. The Breaks are close enough by to visit even if you weren't planning any sightseeing.

Excellent Stay for the Price.

Staff was excellent. Originally booked a 2 Queen room. Staff gave me a complimentary upgrade to a single King. Continental Breakfast was a little lacking but was included with the excellent price.

Nice hospitality, convenient, clean,

Front desk personnel,(or manager?) [...] went out of his way to be helpful to me. Check in was quick and efficient with care given to security,- (they wrote my room number down and gave it to me purposefully instead of saying my room number out loud which is a smart and prudent thing to do for women traveling alone). Hotel was not fancy, but clean and comfortable with a free help-yourself breakfast in the morning. The facility is just an average motel, but the care given to hotel guests and the obvious care given their facility deserve 4 stars.

not the best

Hotel clerk tried to charge extra until I informed him I looked it up online and knew the prices for a room with two queen beds. He then said ok to the advertised price.

VERY IMPRESSED

I was actually very impressed with the Hotel. The staff was VERY friendly, the room was immaculate, and they had a great breakfast in the morning. I was a little hesitant about staying in a Super 8 but I am going to go back for sure. The room was small but it was all I needed.
