Las Vegas J&P
The best hotel in the Bryce Canyon area.
My husband and I drove from Las Vegas to Zion National Park and proceeded to Bryce Canyon on the same day. We needed to stay in a a very clean and comfortable hotel so we chose to stay here because the reviews were excellent. The price was higher than most hotels but there is no price for comfort. Surprisingly, check in was breezy. There was no line at the check-in counter at all. Check-in time was at 4PM, we were there half an hour earlier and our room was ready! The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The only difference is that we can hear noises from outside our room louder than expected; from the room above us and from the other two corners. I have read the reviews on this hotel and I guess this is the common "bad" factor from guests. The complimentary breakfast was great with a lot of choices. Check out was similarly breezy with no hassles.

Great stay in Best Western Bryce canyon
Very new and clean, up-to-date interior. Much better than the average Best Western hotels. We really thought how much nicer if they had a restaurant, but no biggy.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
The Ruby's inn restaurant's buffet was not bad even though some people rated it badly. What do you expect in this high-altitude middle-of-nowhere plateau area, right? Just watch for deers when you drive up there at night. The gift shop next to it has a great selections as well.

Great hotel, bad ORBITZ experience
The hotel is close to Bryce entrance, the rooms still had the new room smell since the hotel was built in 2009. I had a bad checkout experience just like a previous reviewer: the hotel staff was not aware that the bill was prepaid thru Orbitz and I was presented a new bill that was $35 per day lower than what orbitz charged. The hotel even charged my credit card which later refunded. Orbitz customer service refused to refund the difference which left me wondering: why would anyone book thru Orbitz? Hm.... Book the hotel directly!

bad checkout experience
Everything was excellent except that we were charged for our stay, even though I explained to the staff that our room had been booked thru Orbitz and should have been prepaid. Needless to say I had to embark on a telephone and email marathon trying to straighten this error out. In addition, to add insult to injury, the hotel's charge for the stay was $40.00 less than what I am being charged by Orbitz. Can someone explain to me why I should go through Orbitz to book a hotel room in the future?
