Motel 6 Wichita Falls TX

The room was "okay". The motel surroundings were in an old part of downtown where there are homeless people and it is away from the nicer part of downtown Wichita. It does indicate it's the NEW Motel 6, but it really is a remodeled OLD building. For the price, it's okay, but I don't think I'd go back there again.

My Wife and I drove up from Dallas for a concert. All we needed was a safe/clean place to sleep and shower. Having read recent reviews here, we knew that the facility was aged. We took a chance and it was well worth it. As other reviews stated, this place has new furniture, carpet, tiles, fridge, microwave, cable, etc. Our room had no odors, it was quiet and well-secured. Free wi-fi worked well. No in-room iron, ironing board or coffee maker. We didn't miss 'em. The bathroom was small but fully functional. We paid $42 for a non-smoking w/king size bed (very comfortable). I was fully prepared to walk away if the recent reviews were wrong. They weren't. I would definitely stay here again.

Very basic but clean. Was a bit leery regarding the area, but had no problems and had a comfortable sleep.

I just spent a night in Wichita Falls. The room was OK. It has a small fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was kind of small, but still fine. The room had enough space. The hotel is located close to an intersection, so it's easy to move from there.

Took a while to check in even with a reservation. The room was large and clean and had no foul odors, which is a plus.There are a lot of construction workers who use this motel so the parking is not easy. But they weren't noisey and the room was off the highway so nice and quiet.

came to see friend at Military base which was close by. Could hear neighbors in room next door.

The stay was very enjoyable and the price was very hard to beat - great value.

The hotel was convenient for me. They allowed me to check in late and it was located right where I needed to be. The room was also much larger than I expected. I was satisfied.

I had traveled to Texas to visit my son for his birthday. I was on a very tight budget for this trip, and found the American Inn was priced at almost half of local competitors. I was only staying one night, and thought it would at least be a place to sleep. With this in mind, it is safe to say I wasn't expecting a whole lot. I flew into Dallas Ft. Worth and checked into the American Inn before I continued on to Burkburnett farther north. The outside of the hotel reflect that of one that charges minimally. It seemed almost rundown. As I passed it, I mistook it for a closed building. I made another pass and realized it was the hotel. When I checked in, the gentleman at the front counter was extremely friendly and helpful. I was impressed. I didn't check on my room because I didn't want to spend the rest of the evening with my son thinking about the defects of the room. After his birthday party we returned to the room. He wanted to stay with me that night, so we arranged it with his mom. (He just turned 7) Upon entering the room, I was blown away. The room was comparable to some of the higher end hotels that I have stayed at. The carpet, paint, furnitures, and fixtures were all new and the room smelled and look extremely clean. I was very impressed with the room. The only set back in the room was the shower. I noticed that the bathroom was redone in granite, a very nice upgrade indeed, but the shower head was inexpensive and located maybe four and a half feet up the wall. This makes showering difficult for a guy who is 6.4". That was my only complaint with the room, but for the price, I wasn't complaining at all. I would recommend this hotel to ANYONE that is traveling through Wichita Falls, TX, and will continue to stay there when I return.

We had to have several rooms due to a family funeral. We recommended the motel to my brother and he and his wife and daughter booked 2 rooms as well. no complaints. ...its not a new motel, but clean and friendly. One thing though...it would be nice to have thicker towels and blankets for the beds...we bought our own.
