Howard Johnson Plaza Wichita Falls

Well my husband and I stayed at the hojo for our anniversary and it was ok for the price but not all that great... The first night we were there and the only night we didn't have our infant son with us a bunch of kids were having a birthday party and overtook the pool and the second day the pool was closed... The main reason we chose this place was for the indoor pool and hot tub... The staff was friendly enough but the cleanliness needed some work still we slept well and mostly enjoyed our stay but like I said it was just ok...

Overall the Hotel was very nice the things I had a Problem with was that I was on the third floor and for most of my stay the elevator did not work and with a bad knee using the stairs was very painful, It also seem like I was put to the back of the Hotel it felt like I was in a secluded area that was not in use for a long time.I would recommend this Hotel only if you are able to choose where your room would be.

We loved the opputunity to unwind in the pool and hot tub. It was a fun experience to play shuffleboard with the family. However, the excercise room door had issues.

But now, not so much. Cold water in the shower. Dirty stains on the floor of the room. Generally unclean.When I reported it, it got blown off. I don't recommend this place as even a spot to rest your head.

The staff was wonderful, but the hotel is very old. Room was musty, but not unbearable. Nice room other than the shower, but that is how old hotels go. Wouldn't stay any longer than one or two nights unless you are on a right budget.

Old and falling apart. Pool and hot tub closed the entire 4 days we were there. Would have left except that I had paid in advance and didn't have to spend much time there. Bedding torn up. Cleanliness questionable. Carpets gross, wear shoes at all times. Just don't stay here. There are much better options.

Room was just ok, but the shower was lukewarm and there was an opened bar of soap that apparently was left from the previous occupants of the room.

This hotel was a disaster from start. Our business christmas party was held here. My wife and I got a room to avoid driving after drinking. After check in, I requested a refrigerator and was charged $7 for a fridge and a microwave I didn't want. I'm not sure if the dirty microwave worked, but the fridge was on its last leg. When we got to our room, it was freezing, dark, and very disgustingly dirty. After turning on the heater, it broke and maintenance had to come fix it. It never worked properly the entire night. The walls had holes (Rm 355) and the bathroom was so dirty we only used the toilette. The complimentary soap was old and there was one small shampoo bottle that looked used. There is also no way I would have used the coffee maker in the room. The bathroom had black mold under the sink as well. I am certain this room was not sanitary. I respectfully request a refund of the total cost of the room and the $7.00 for the fridge rental. This hotel looks nice on the outside, but i have only heard how dirty the rooms were from my coworkers as well. I will never stay in a Howard Johnson again. I certainly got what I paid for.

If you are looking for a one niught layover to continue your journey, this place is ok. Th room is clean and beds are confortable. if you are going to stay more better to find another hotel.

I simply hated the experience I had at this hotel. I booked a room for 2 nights and ended up only staying for 1. the reasons are as follows: 1) The place wa literally falling apart. the celing tiles in the foyer and on the top (4th) floor leaked and were falling in. 2) the "continental breakfast" was a mere shell of a meal; milk was provided but there was no cereal, there was a plate of fresh fruit but it turned out to be only a few slices of an orange. 3) i dodged buckets/pails which were placed in numerous places to catch the dripping water and had to ensure i didnt step in the muck/mire on the floors 4) i did think the urine scented stairwell added a nice touch. The staff (from the custodians all the way up to the manager) were very helpfull and seemed genuinely sorry and actually downright embarrased at the state of the building. So, the staff (especially Kieth and Akbar) were helpfull and might have saved me as a future customer (after the major renovations are completed, of course).
