Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites HOUSTON SPACE CTR - CLEAR LAKE

Absolutely loved this hotel!!! It was very clean and nicely decorated. The food perks were a nice surprise also. Cannot say a bad thing about our experience here. Stafff was very helpful also. Would definetly stay here or at one of this chain. Thank you so very much for a wonderful time here.

We were looking for something close to Kemah without a Kemah price and this hotel was perfect. It takes maybe 10 minutes to get to Kemah but the hotel is actually in the middle of all the shopping and restaurants. Room was very clean, great AC, clean linens. Breakfast was adequate (eggs & biscuits) but get there early because there is a dash towards the end. Pool is really nice with 3 cute cabanas. When booked, a standard room is considered anything available at the time so we ended up with kings and we needed 2 beds so they brought us a rollaway which was very hard to sleep in so avoid if you can. Overall though we had a great experience.

I had a very pleasant stay. The only complaint I have was the amount of air freshener in my room upon arrival - it took my breath away. I asked the front desk to ask housekeeping to NOT use any in my room during my stay. I double checked the next morning on my way out to make sure it was noted. The desk clerk reported no housekeeping, air freshener only. To eliminate any issues, I just left my do not disturb sign up my whole trip. Outside that, no complaints.

The hotel appears to be very new. It is nice, but nothing stands out about it. The check-in was difficult as their system had some kind of difficulty in understanding that [...] had paid them. They were also a tad obnoxious about wanting another card to apply a hold to.The room was classed as a suite, but had no division between the "sitting area" and "bedroom"; it was more like a regular, maybe slightly larger, but not by much. They have a list of the TV channels that is incomplete, incorrect and basically worthless. With around a hundred channels, surfing around trying to find what I wanted to watch was a pain. We just wanted to relax after our Thanksgiving dinner and catch some of our usual late-night shows, but couldn't find figure out where the channel we wanted was.The breakfast is what I was really looking forward to, but was disappointed. The selection was better than a continental breakfast, but not as nice as some of the other hot breakfasts we've had at this chain. The server-cook didn't engage the guests, which she didn't have to do, but it sure made things a lot nicer in the hotels that they do.It's a nice enough place at a decent price, but with other choices, we probably will not return here.
