WARNING: The manager of this Motel 6 profiles all college students as evil. College students and their families need to stay away. I made a reservation for my out-of-state son to stay here for only one night prior to his dorm room move-in date.
I left specific instructions and charge card information for the room charges. All was ignored. He charged my son. The room was dirty, with spider webs and mold. When my son returned to the hotel after a late night dinner with 2 visiting friends, they were approached and harassed in the parking lot by the manager before they even entered the building. He assumed they were there to cause trouble and he had an unwritten rule that there are to be NO visitors after 10:00. He refused to listen to any reasoning, threatening to call the police for no committed violation and threatened removal with no refund. Before my son checked out, I contacted the manager, to make the payment adjustment to my card account; he refused and said it was too late. He said his clerk gave me the wrong information and that his clerk always misinforms customers and he plans to fire him. Personally, I felt his clerk was very nice on the phone and the only good quality of this hotel. The economy price was not worth the aggravation sustained by such rudeness and stereotyping. The manager's prejudicial behavior is completely unethical in America. I strongly recommend the avoidance of this hotel to everyone, due in great part to this unaccommodating, unreasonable, irrational manager.
