Excellent location right there by the water close to Hwy 35 but not close enough to hear the noise. Breakfast was the best.

I would have given the hotel a higher rating however, when I checked in because my cc was international it was declined at the desk. My guest placed the incidental charge in his cc. I asked the front desk attendant how much the charge would be and was told 40.00. After checking out my guest informed me that the charge held on his account was 120.00. I didn't even pay that for the room!!! After calling the hotel and speaking with the GM, she offered an apology and told us the attendant had misinformed us. (Well obviously). We were then told if the charge didnt drop off in 3 days to give them a call back. ( Well Obviously)!

Wonderful, walked to the bridge at night, swam til 10, up and gone by 7am.

This hotel was perfect for a weekend visit with my daughter who attends Baylor. It's a very easy 1 1/2 mile from the school in a safe location. [...] But definitely a great hotel. There were two desktop computers and printers in an open office area that we used for Mapquest directions. That was very helpful, and I enjoyed not being in a tiny closed room, as is the case with many hotel work centers. Would have liked some optional continental breakfast option other than the full breakfast for 8.95 per person. We decided to skip breakfast as a result. The King size room with couch was VERY small. I think it would have felt more spacious without the couch. And the bathroom could use an upgrade.But other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

We were in town for a wedding. The hotel was convenient and close to the reception site. Check in went seamlessly and everything lived up to expectations.

Well, they were busy with a full house of teen-age cheerleaders, so maybe our situation wasn't normal. But we did have a couple of problems: no linens for the sleeper sofa after we paid for a larger room so our college-age son would have a place to sleep; housekeeping took the wet towels after the first day, but didn't leave any dry ones for the next day; the shower has the nice bowed rod so the curtain doesn't wrap around your legs, but as a result the curtain is short for the tub and things got wet when my husband took a shower; and the room smelled a bit when you first walked in, but it wasn't too bad. In their favor, the hotel staff is nice, the bed had lots of pillows, and the rooms were quiet even with all the giggling cheerleaders down the hall. In both missing item cases, we got the needed items after a call to the front desk. It is right downtown so there were good restaurants within walking distance.
