More like a guest room not a motel room

I was happily surprised by the serene decor of our spacious room. It had plantation shutters instead of those ratty block out curtains. The walls were a tasteful soft teal which complemented the white bedding with quilted bronze bed covers. It was nice to have a heat lamp and another sink inside the bathroom. A large mirror and a sink in a separate dressing area kept us from vying for space. The room was also equipped with a microwave and minifridge. The wall unit worked well heating up the room quickly without being too noisy. I guess the only disappointment was breakfast.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

This hotel was just across the street for Baylor. I'm sure we will be staying here again as our son plans to attend Baylor University.

Very nice rooms for rate.

I was in Waco for an event in Cameron Park a few miles away and just need a room for myself and gear. This was perfect. I had a king room and was surprised at the nice quality of the room, bed, and bedding. The fridge/microwave was handy too. Bathroom and sink fixtures a little under par compared to the sleeping area, but adequate for this price. My upstairs corner room was quiet and looked out on Baylor University. Hotel is right beside I35 and next to the downtown. Recommend Sams on the Square for food/drink. Cameron Park is a gem on the Brazos River. Note: Coffee maker in room is one of those that will only accept the the little pods in a plastic tray. Nearest Starbucks is up the interstate 4 or 5 miles.

Sam's on the Square on 4th street downtown. Nice modern space, 20 beers on tap, mainly Mexican but very tastefully done.

you get what you pay for, really bad

free continental breakfast? what breakfast, one donut, one apple, water down coffee, and a waffle. a/c never got cold and we could here our neighbors during the night. well, thats to be expected for the price, what's not acceptable is dirty rooms, seeds on the floor left by previous guest, no telling how long ago. corners of the restroom darken with grime, not to mention rudeness by the morning attendant. it is very unlikely we will be returning to this motel. i'm sure waco has many more reasonable rooms in the area because we will definitely be returning to this beautiful city.
