Quality Inn Victoria

We were just passing through, so the one night stay was fine. The room was mostly fine, the bed was too hard, the mildew in the shower very annoying and the outside noise very loud. The breakfast almost made up for those inconveniences.

We were just there overnight - for a funeral. The room was nice and clean and a very comfortable bed. The staff were courteous and helpful.

I went to Victoria to attend my Aunts funeral. I chose this Hotel because it was centrally located between the funeral home and my coucins house. It was easy to get where we were going from this location. The Hotel was clean, a little worn, but nice. The breakfasts were great that went along with the room. Scrambled eggs, sausage, Buscuits and gravy, waffles ect. Service was great and don't have any regrets staying here. Although we wern't able to use the sevice, you also get access to the YMCA by using your door card as a pass.

The manager and front desk staff were very rude. We were hurricane Ike victims and just wanted a place to rest. When I asked if we could possibly check in early the manager , was very very rude and said that the room would not be ready until 3pm and there was no way it would be ready sooner. When we returned after 2pm we were still told it would be at least an hour but the maid service staff said she had cleaned several rooms that were ready. The manager never spoke to us for the remainder of our visit, even when she spoke to guests right next to us at breakfast. We will never stay here again. The hurricane was bad enough, but this just made everything worse.

I have never been to any hotel/motel that has had a friendlier staff.... However, ate the best Mexican food at restaurant. EAT AT LA HACIENDA!!! Overall, the best experience for the money - well worth every penny!
