Lone Star Inn and Suites

Nothing fancy, but rooms were clean and more than adequate. Would consider staying there in the future.

The rooms were clean the beads firm and nice. The only thing I didn't like was the toilet !!!! Not a good thing not too work. Night clerk and manager tried too fix it too no avail. Moved us too new room, it was just as nice as the first room. Still a little trouble with the toilet. I think the type of water saving toilet in the rooms is the problem. Did like the rest of the stay. Will use them again if in Victory.

This hotel was a good value for the money. Spacious room, clean and staff was friendly. It is walking distance to a truck stop/mcdonalds.

When we checked in the gentleman was not very friendly at all. The next morning when we went for our "deluxe" breakfast it wasn't very deluxe. They have a sign clearly posted about Waffles and Syrup but the staff said that he had never seen waffles out. After searching he finally found the frozen waffles but they had no syrup. The beds were super hard and I had to use extra pillows under my back to get comfortable.

We needed to check in before the check in time and they were able to let us do so.

Friendly staff. Clean room. Will have to travel into Victoria to find resturants other than Mcdonalds.

The hotel was nice and the front desk staff was friendly. The only thing I did not like was how many crickets there were!! It also smelled because of the dead ones. There were a few bugs in the room as well. Also, my reciept said checkout time was 1pm, the door said 11am and the front desk told me 12pm.

Conveniently located only a few minutes from downtown, shopping and restaurants. Price is right; however,the soundproofing isn't. I could hear every step taken by the person above me - and he/she seemed to be moving around all the time I was in my room - day or night. Also could hear the TV next door. My room was next to the truck stop next door but there was no noise from the trucks.

Complimentary breakfast was very so-so, have had better in numerous other motels. Very noisy at my end of the motel where construction going on and trash from the motel construction right down the sidewalk from the door to my room. Burn hole in bedspread and not a spotless room -- trash on floor next to bed and behind nightstand; dirty ice bucket, etc. A/C did not work very good.

I was told the Hotel was a bad place to stay because it was close to the truck stop and certain kinds of people hung out at the hotel. But that was not true at all it was a very nice place very quite the staff was great. the rooms was clean the carpet was nice also. We had no problems there what so-ever. The only thing the kids said the pool was too small.
