Nice stay!

I loved the hotel itself and the beds are Amazing! Only thing I had a problem with is I decided to leave a day earlier than what I had booked and the hotel when I checked in knew of this. Apparently she didn't tell the girl who was working after her what happened and she called me early the next morning and woke the baby and I up telling me I had to sign more papers. But other that that it was a good stay!

A Little Expensive

At around $150/day I would ordinarily expect something better. The continental breakfast wasn't very good, and they were working on the pool for two days during our stay.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

There are some really good Mexican restaurants in Victoria, but stay away from the chains and seek out the ones that are run by locals. We ate at the Vera Cruz on Navarro, but the best food we had the whole time was at the La Hacienda. There is a restaurant downtown called Huvar's Artisan that very nice.

When I walked in the door, the clerk knew my name. I called just a few minutes earlier, so he was expecting us. It's nice to hear your name, it makes you feel expected and welcomed. [...] was very professional and helpful. The temperatures were hot, hot, hot in Texas. Holiday Inn Express had our room cooled and ready for us. It was very clean and the bed was VERY comfortable. Thank you.

The mall is so close, and there are many dining places nearby, including a Starbucks, for the coffee drinkers.

Worth every penny

Although it may be a little pricey, I think the extra money is well worth it. Location: not far from major high way, many dining choices nearby. cleanliness: very clean and well kept. nice 32 inch lcd flat screens for tv lovers. GREAT furniture. memory foam beds was great for my recent back injury. all around great hotel.
