Scary, overpriced

I stayed at this motel overnight while passing through Tyler, only because they allow pets. I ended up paying $19 more for the room than was advertised (not sure why, but I booked online) which included a $3 24-hour Internet card since they don't provide Internet. The room was clean enough, but they only provided 1 towel, and the remote control for the tiny TV was missing. There were some extremely sketchy people there, and I generally felt nervous about my safety because it was a bad part of town. I could hear people talking outside my room all night. The woman at the front desk was very friendly, but the motel was undergoing renovation (also not mentioned on website) and there were about 30 mattresses laying around outside. The pool was also half full of black water and had algae growing all over the inside. My final complaint is that I booked a non-smoking room, and not only had it clearly been smoked in, they had also provided an ashtray for the room that had a non-smoking symbol on the bottom, which makes no sense. Definitely the worst place I've ever stayed.

You get what you pay for...

Clean. You could hear movement in the adjacent rooms. No breakfast, in the end we spent more buying breakfast than if we would have stayed at a hotel with "free" breakfast.

Very smelly

The room was a very plain and in need of some updating. The smell of urine was so strong throughout the room. The bathroom flooring was a white lanolium type but was stained a very greayish brown. The shower was very small and the bed was very firm. There seemed to be strange and curious people lingering throughout the motel. The only thing nice about this motel was the woman at the front desk. She was very kind.

noisy

Too close to hiway.Noisy tennants,knocks on door at midnight,next room tried to get in my room thru double adjoining doors at 1 am.Noisy cars with loud obnoxious music till 1 am.Noisy again in morning at about 7 am.I left a day early just to get some sleep.
