Ramada-Tyler

This hotel pulled up on the website as being a 3 star hotel with microwave, refrigerator and free breakfast. Once we arrived, we discovered that this hotel had none of these things. It appeared to be an older motel that had that "musty" smell-definitely not what I would have considered to be 3 star! I believe we certainly overpaid for what we received!

Poor example for Ramada

Ramada really needs to send their version of a 'secret shopper' to this hotel. It is more like a roach motel (quite literally) than a Ramada . . . and at $88 - $120 a night, I would think it would be perfect. Because it was Sunday, there was no room service (unheard of in the rest of the country), the pool was closed for no reason that I could see, they advertise and even have a plaque on the wall which says they have airport shuttle service - not true, I was told after I booked and paid (although the manager did pay for my taxi when I asked), and there were dead bugs (and some alive) in my room. Yuck.

not so good experience

Hotel has old look, carpets are old and smell in rooms is of an old hotel. Location is ok. Rennovations should help. On a very hot day, pool had been closed as the pH was not balanced.

Tough to beat price in a good location.

We've stayed here years before, but I believe things have gotten better. There was one hick-up during check-in when they wanted me to sign a credit slip for booking agency. However, the manager quickly came to the front desks rescue. In general, everyone was real friendly and the king size mattress was great! No backaches in our room. The only downside was a slight musty smell in the room when we checked in, but it went away after we turned the AC unit on. It's not the Ritz, but it "ain't" bad either. I plan to stay there again. I think it's a great value for the dollar.

A beuatiful oasis in the middle of a busy city

the setting was beuatiful, the room very nice, staff not only frinedly but competent [both the front desk and the dining room]. Inthe restaurant, th emnenu was varied and reasonably priced. I did nto even eat out else where when i was eting by myself! Ther was aproblem with the computer at the business center but I used it only the last day so Idi nto mention it.. I' sure that were I to stay longer it probably would have beenw orked out. The problem was that one could not use copy/cut and past fucntion within one program or between programs.
