MOM what a mess
terrible waste
We stayed 2 nights because we thought it was convienent but that was a mistake The first night was awfull. We thought the people next to us would be gone the 2nd night . They were so loud and didn't care about other guest, their profanity was a disgrace and went on most of the night. The 2nd night we were so tired and had to leave motel by 6:00 am. we had to go downstairs and complain twice because it was worse 2nd night. They were so loud and had a dog that they kept getting to bark because we complained. We will never stay here again at $80.00 a night with no sleep and said they didn't have another room to put us in. These people stay there all the time so make sure you don't get on same hall as them.

BANG FOR THE BUCK
I was very surprised at this Motel 6. I Broke down in Terrel and needed a room close by for the night. Motel 6 offered an exceptional room with cleanliness and comfort of a 4 star hotel. Excellent desk staff. The only negative was one scratchy bath towel, but that was it. For business travelers, I would recommend this place against any in the area. For the traditional low motel price, it was a good "bang for the buck." It had clean halls, lobby and very quiet.

Tanger shopping is across the interstate with a night club down the road. Inexpensive gasoline can be purchased at the local stations with acceptable dining available in the area.

Horrible! Changed hotels
I had a guest fly in from California for work and to visit friends and family in the area. I had heard that this hotel did some remodeling aboout 5 years ago and that it should be pretty decent for a man on a budget. The reservations were made in his name but held under my card. Upon arriving they tried to up charge him (paying with cash) because I would be considered a second person. After explaining that I had a home in the area and I would not be staying there the man checking us in gave me a "yeah right" look and explained that he needed to give us different keys because the ones they had given me earlier that day at check in were canceled. We learned after parking that the door he had sent us to to enter was not working and he would have to always use the front entrance instead of the one closest to the room. Also be warned that there is NO elevator in this building. They given the wrong room, non-smoking double beds. So when my guest went to tell him we reserved a smoking room for him the man said " well you didnt sit on the bed did you?" as if we were going to ruin the room. my guest enters the new room, half the size, and I notice there is no plastic bag for the ice bucket. Then the I started to really inspect the room. The window did not open at all not even crack, which I thought was odd for a smoking room. The pillow was so paper thin I took a picture to put on FB so my friends could laugh. The water coming out of the faucets was brown, even after running them for awhile. This meant no washing hands or showers. There were burn holes and stains all over the comforter. And the walls were so paper thin, I could hear the people in the next room peeing in their toliet over their loud TV. It was 11pm, Because it had been a long flight and I had 20min to drive and a son to get home to, my friend stayed there that night and we decided we would look for another hotel room when I got him the next morning. When we checked him out the woman working was a lot nicer but seemed to think the complaints were minor. She explained that they had recently had their pipes worked on and that the water issue was a common complaint. We were charged for that night but the money for the other nights booked was returned, except for the 35 dollars in "taxes/fees" We found that down the street one driveway , for $5 more a night, you can find the days Inn which was 10 times better with a KING size bed instead of the queen, the room was double the size and there were 5 fluffy pillows! The whole room just seemed so much nicer and cleaner. There was a desk and a couch plus the room actually had a Bible, what a difference 5 dollars made!

The check-in was friendly and at the price agreed upon. When I asked for directions, she was able to provide the needed information. The room was neat and clean. . Overall when you check into a lower priced hotel this is what you should expect.

Unfortunate Visitor
Smoke filled and overcharged!
Upon arrival we noticed that the lobby smelled like cigarette smoke. We of course had booked a non-smoking room. Our room was small with no ammenities but you expect that when paying so little for a room. When I turned the bed down it smelled like someone was smoking in the bed. The blanket, evidently, had not been laundered and the last person must have smoked in bed! The room otherwise was clean but smelled of smoke. Upon check out our $111 two night stay had become $168. How that happened I do not know nor could I get an explaination. I would not recommend this hotel...UNLESS YOU ARE A SMOKER.

A True "Terrell" visits Terrell Texas
We arrived and checked in around 6:15 p.m. The access to the motel was deviated by our navigator. We had to make the interstate loop again to find the entrance to Motel 6 it was between the Wallel House and a creek. The navigator led us to the Home Depot 1/4 mile from the motel. The motel was above average clean. There was NO elavator. I was NOT aware of this upon registration. Manager was pleasant and hospitable. She inquired about our trip and I told her about Canton Trades Day and was please there was no minimum night stay. The room was clean except for a nasty spot on the inside of the bathroom door with appeared to be fecis or something dark greenish stuck to the bottom of the bathroom door. 12:30 a.m. I called the front desk. DEAD ASLEEP I felt the walls vibrate. There was a baby scream and a woman scream and a thump. I immediately call "0" to report some kind of domestic violence. Within the 1/2 hour the security was there to remove the tenants from the room. ( I feel so sorry for the baby in that room) OTHER WISE the night was peaceful and we finished our night with a decent rest. I rate the place a 79 out or 100.
