Motel 6 Houston North Spring

I wanted a $50 a night room and that's what I got. Bare minimum. I requested a room with microwave and fridge-didn't get them either night. The room had uneven uncarpeted floors, no iron(you had to get it at the front desk), no ironing board, no lotion, shampoo or conditioner, 1 trash can, no notepad or pen, no hair dryer. If you want a place to lay your head for the night and watch TV, this is the place- the bed was comfortable. But don't expect anything else. Overall, it was fairly clean and NO bugs.

I only wanted to be close to my meeting! The one and only staff member was to busy eating, I think I bothered her. The smell in the building was bad and the elevader smelled like it was on fire and sounded worst. I got in the room and it got scary the room was not clean-the floors, bed, tables, bathroom and everything. Be safe.

I was greeted by a desk clerk that preferred to sit in the lobby and eat pizza with her boyfriend instead of assisting me. If you just need a place to lay your head, this is the place. There are no amenities. No refrigerator, no microwave, no iron or ironing board. Luckily I had a large ice chest with me at least there were ice machines to keep perishables cold. The best thing was the location. It is right in front of Target, so you can get a few snacks. You just can't microwave them or refrigerate them. It is near places to visit, like the water park and old town Spring. I only had one set of towels for a 2 bedroom suite and a family of three. The housekeepers were nice and did give me what I needed once I tracked them down. It was clean enough, the water was hot and the a/c was cold.

The room smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. It also smelled of urine as well. So did the hallway and elevator. The toilet seat pinched my girlfriend when she sat down on it. The TV remote had no backing to it. We winded up leaving the room and sleeping with family members whom we were visiting with. We had to sleep on their living room floor. It was just an overall horrible experience. We just couldn't stand the stench and overall condition of both the hotel and room.

Unfortunately my stay was not as I expected. The first night there, I killed 2 small roaches, plus one very big one; and my husband killed 2 small ones. I took this bug to the desk and they switched me to another room. This room had one small dead roach in the bathroom. I doubt that I will stay at this Motel 6 again, should I be back in that area. My experience at other Motel 6 hotels have always been satisfactory.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The elevator and stairways smelt like urine. The comforter on the bed was filthy. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It should be condemned.
