Final Summer Getaawy
The hotel front desk would not allow not even a 15 min early check-in. No direct beach access hotel is nice, just didn't think their customer service was that great...

Nice Hotel
The location was great! Not too far from the Isla Blanca Park where we took surfing lessons. The Wave (bus) stops right in front of the hotel. One can travel for free to most any location. The hotel is not on the beach, but there are many accesses with BR and showers along the WAVE bus routes! Our stay would have been better had the breakfast/lunch room not been in the process of being remodelled.The only problem was that our taxi driver couldn't find the front door to the hotel. When driving North, it's just past the pool.[...]

Fly in to or out of Brownsville any day except Sunday or Holidays and you can use the Rio Transit and Wave to reach most hotels. The Rio was inexpensive and the WAVE is free. We took a taxi to our hotel and the WAVE and RIO back to the Airport. This worked well.

Hidden fees, great location.
I'm a sucker for places that allow me to check in early and they didnt allow me to that, so I go in at three and they say its still not ready so I had to wait an hour longer. Then when I check in I find the hidden fees(not cool)there was a charge for wristbands, not too much but I dont like it when I get surprises when it comes to my budget. Staff was friendly so I didnt want to argue with them about my room not being ready. The room was big and clean with a nice view of the strip and bay. The pool was not that big but it was right on the strip where I could drink a beer and watch the action on the strip without getting into trouble. The location was prob the best thing about this hotel since it was located in the center of everything. I did however have my revenge when I checked out an hour late and I liked the fact that they were just as nice at check out. Overall Ok hotel alittle pricey but I guess fair for location.

its a nice hotel for a getaway weekend..
spacious, clean, nice big bathroom, the hotel had a coffemaker, little fridge, microwave, nice view from our window( we were at the 4th floor)...37"lcd tv w cable....a/c w remote control...very nice...but i wish the would have put more sugar for the coffe...we were 2 and had to share one sugar pack(was kinda bitter)...but for the rest good hotel...
