For the price I went at, at the time (Spring Break) it was expensive for the quality, but in comparison to the other hotels, this was the cheapest. Regardless, hotel was decent. Staff was friendly. It had a great, little breakfast for free. Also
there's an awesome hot jacuzzi outside which is where we spent the most time at, as the beach ended up being chilly and too crowded.
The room was really clean and the bed and pillows were ridiculously comfortable. The staff was rather rude and they didn't explain the insurance deposit when booking it. So the $250 hold on my account kind of tied up the funds for the trip but I
got all of that money back at the end so overall it's a great place to stay. It is really far from the main places I was hoping to go and cabs got a little pricey after a few trips.
We got a jacuzzi room during spring break & for a budget hotel, it was actually quite decent. My only major complaint was the hotel's WiFi service: it was terribly slow & choppy. Room was clean & the beach was walking distance. Best of all, I
slept very well!
We were a bunch of single guys traveling together to a wedding to hang out on the cheap. This place is clean, all the electronics work, free complimentary breakfast, and close to the beach. The staff was great.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Best thing about South Padre - $5 cab rides anywhere on the island and they won't tow your car if you leave it overnight somewhere. We utilised this to the max. So go get hammered.
