GREAT Family Getaway!

Staff was very nice! The room was VERY big and all rooms have a balcony and a sofa bed. This room was better than expected. The day we went it was a little cool outside, and when we went to the pool we thought it would be too cold, but when we got in the pool water was warm and perfect.The beach is just a short walk away! Breakfast was great, omelets was a nice touch! We had a WONDERFUL time at this hotel. Oh! and to top off this great place, during check-in, they give you 2 tickets for 2 FREE drinks at the bar. This was perfect, to just sit out by the pool and see the beach and just relax with my husband!

Great for a group in their 20's

We wanted a cheaper place to stay for Easter weekend and it was a good choice. Great beach location/access, the room had enough room for people and a little balcony. It was also nice to have free breakfast if you woke up in time!

Spring Break Hot Spot

This is the place to be during Spring Break. This is my second year here and it did not disappoint except security was a little on a power trip most of the time. It is one hotel over from coca cola beach and when they shut that down the hotel has a Dj and a pool party that goes till dark. Rooms are ok has two tempurpedic beds, fridge, and microwave in most. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay that has everything you need with nothing to fancy this is your place.

Thanksgiving Get-Away

We enjoyed our stay at La Copa. The breakfast each morning was good, enough that we only went out for supper in the evenings. They had a happy hour from 4-7, this included a free drink and free popcorn or pretzels. We did not use the pool, but watched others enjoying it. Nice access to the beach - enoyed many LONG walks. They could do some touch-up on the paint, but overall room condition was nice. Mini-balcony in every room, just enough room to sit - but I like to be able to get outside even if for a short period of time so that was nice.

Pleasant surprize

We were really happy with our room and the location of this hotel. The pool was very nice and in good condition. The breakfast was tasty and the area was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The walk way to the beach/ocean was nice and in great repair. We have zero complaints about our stay and would recomend it to everyone.

anniversary trip

Room was nice and large with comfortable bed and in room hot tub. The A/C unit did not work very well for such a large room, however, the ceiling fan was nice (do not normally have these in a hotel room). Location was great as we were able to walk a short distance to a great restaurant and the beach access was a plus.

Try out the Italian Restaurant that is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel, well worth the time.

u get what u pay for!

average hotel nothing special. it is close to the water, nothing private about the beach. my truck was broke in to and then i was informed that there are no cameras in the parking lot. also parking is very limited. there was a wedding going on and it was over @ 1AM THATS WHEN I GOT TO MOVE MY TRUCK OUT OF THE FIRELANE TO A PARKING SPOT. I HAD A GREAT TIME IN SPI !!!!! WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN!

In any direction up or down the beach, you can find the jet ski guys pulling the bananaboat. 20 bucks per person for 15 mins of fun. try tipping the drive for longer time. we loved it!! Well Worth it!

Summer Getaway

Upon arrival to South padre the hotel was literally right in front of the bridge entering south padre so it was very convienent. It was all very close to all the hot spots and restaurants on the island. The hotel was nice and had a pool and pathyway that lead straight to the beach. The hotel was hot at times and our room was rather large and would get stuffy at times and as a result was considering going to buy a fan.
