Super 8 San Antonio/I-35 North

Very clean and convenient. Only wished there we free breakfast but otherwise good.

The hotel room was just fine, because most of the time I was out and about. The only problem with the room was there was no clock in it. It had a good size TV, microwave, Icebox, and 2 cup coffee pot. This was alot better deal than most trips I take when I stay at hotels, due to the low room rate I was charged.

I was in San Antonio visiting family, the Super 8 is right off of I-35, it made it convenient to just get out on the road and go. It is a typical motel, bed, TV, bathroom. They had plenty of towels and clean sheets. Overall the place was well kept, the non smoking room didn't smell like smoke and the staff was helpful on directions...I will stay here again because of the good price and location.

Checked in for a 4 night stay, only ended up spending one night here. We first noticed that the room wasn't the cleanest, it smelled musty when we walked in (they had little air freshners in the AC vent), bathroom floor seemed dirty, the carpet in between the bed and side table was filthy, like it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. We weren't thrilled with the room, but got a good deal on it so decided to stay. Well the next morning we could get no hot water. I called down to the office and the man was VERY rude, told me to just keep the water running for a while, that the hot water heater had been broken/turned off for a little bit, and then he hung up on me. So I ran the water for 30+ minutes checking often...and NEVER got warm let alone hot. Well I guess it was a good thing I couldn't stand under the water to wash my hair because when I checked the blowdryer, the top shield was missing along with several coils inside the dryer, would never risk turning that thing on...to top that off the outlet in the bathroom didn't even work. The buttons to push to restart the outlet basically fell out when I pushed them. I tried plugging in a flat iron and no power. We checked out of this hotel that morning and found one much better. When I told the manager about all of our problems, he had an I don't care attitude[...]I will NEVER stay again or recommend it to anyone. I really wish Super 8 would come and see how awful this hotel really is. Horrible management and customer service.

Broken shower rod, holes in the wall, toilet would not stop running, the room smelled horrible, trash was left in the room. Overall this was the worst place I have ever stayed. The hotel staff was very rude and refused to give me another room. The person behind the counter was to interested in his music and cell phone to handle any business. I recommend that noone stays here [...]because when I brought my concern to them they would not do anything about it but give me a $25 travel voucher when I paid more for the horrible room. [...]So if you want a nice stay somewhere, I would recommend a hole in the wall hotel over the Super 8 at exit #168 on Highway 35 in San Antonio.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and overall had a good experience. It was clean, however, it did have a bad smell throughout our room and the hallways. We bought some air freshener and sprayed our room when we left so it smelled better when we returned. The breakfast only offers waffles and cereal so it is very limited compared to other hotels I've stayed at. The location was good, it was easy to get in and out of. We went to Sea World and the zoo while we were there and it was quite a bit further than we thought it would be to Sea World. It is fairly close to the Riverwalk and other shopping areas and fairly close to the airport.

I must say that if you are looking for a hotel to simply take a shower and lay your head down this is the place for you. The hotel is pretty outdated and there is a stinch of smoke in the halls. In the room however we did not smell any smoke and we were glad to have both a microwave and a fridge. The staff was pretty nice and helpful. The pool is pretty small and is in a shaded area with no sun so dont plan on enjoying the pool. Like i said earlier this place is great for a place to shower, change and sleep. I wouln't suggest this as place to go and enjoy the amenities.

Place was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. Clerk was knowlageable of sorrounding area

it felt and smelled old. it was clean but furniture and fixtures in room and hall needed updates. there was a big red stain on the very worn hall carpet. stingy with towels.
