Great location but needs remodeling

The location was 1 mile away from Fiesta Texas, but the motel itself is old. The rooms had a funky smell to it...It is time for the motel to do some remodeling. I would have spent more money to spend the night in a room that is more clean and fresh even if it is a little further away.

Fiesta Texas Vacation

Very smelly room. I guess it is ok if all you do is sleep here. No amenities to speak of.

It was ok

The only bad thing would be that the rooms were too small. And the walls were paper thin! I could hear everyone going in and out of the hotel. Even waking up in the middle of the night because of the people staying above us were arguing.

Not stellar, but not horrible.

First of all, I read the other reviews on the motel so my expectations were not going to be unrealistic. We were looking to not spend a lot of money, so options are limited. First impression was oh no, what have we got our selves into? The front staff was very nice and helpful. The amenities, really lacked, but then you get what you pay for. The coffee was terrible, the milk watered down, the apple juice too. We were there during the winter, so we did not use the outdoor pool. There is no workout room that I know of. The hotel is older so, don't expect everything really spectacular. Our room was pretty quiet and we were next to the back entrance. A couple we were with next to us, thought is was kind of noisy. So go figure. The bathrooms are real small, and there are very limited plug outlets for your accessories if you need them. TV worked fine. Overall pretty much what I expected out of the place. Probably the two dissapointing things were the bathroom size and the continental breakfast.

Good for the Tight Budget

This was a very nice place to stay for the price we paid. I have paid the same price at other locations and not had as nice of a room. For the money concerned individual, this is a perfectly nice place to choose for your visit. Be careful though... if you are not paying attention, you might miss the turn into the hotel and it is not too easy to come back around.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Check out Gruene, Texas if you can. It is a relatively short drive from San Antonio but it is a perfect place to go for a fun day's outing. You can eat at the Gristmill where they have great BBQ ribs or get a free wine tasting at The Grapevine. A cute and quaint town.

Perfect if your not looking to spend much money.

As soon as we entered the room it smelled clean! Bathroom was small but we didn't spend much time in the room so we didn't mind. I have recommended it to my friends

mini vacation

Hotel was good, just needed more towels and pillows. Two each for two people. Breakfast was average, just cereal, toast, pastries, muffins, juice, and coffee. But Whataburger close by, so we ate breakfast there. Great location, close to everything.
